Aftermath

As soon as Jason finally awoke from being knocked unconscious he felt pain, his back was in great pain. It was enough to make him pet a pained groan, despite the pain he would push off the floor slowly and wobble a bit. His hand reaching out for something to hold onto as he steaded himself.

His hand would land on the wall beside him, Jason mind felt clouded and confused. Why was his back hurting? Is he forgetting something? Thoughts like those, such thoughts was answered and cleared the fog in his mind when he opened his eyes to see the knocked out plants on the floor.

Then it all clicked at once, memories rushing into his wave like a tidal wave making his body get filled with adrenaline that quickly washed out the pain and filled Jason with energy. He quickly got off the floor and rushed to his window to see the state of his plants and front lawn.

His plants was okay, the ones that didn't get crushed by the gargantuar that is. His lawn was a mess filled with zombie corpses, holes where potato mines went off. A giant zombie corpse and corpses of deceased plants, Jason felt like he wanted to cry but he couldn't. Not now at least, his plants needed him. He had to work to repair the lawn and only then when the work was over, he would allow himself to grieve.

For half the day Jason cleaned up the lawn with the plants, burying zombies for fertilizer. Even in death the zombies will provide use for his plants. It took a good two hours to move the giant zombie corpse off his lawn and leave it on another lawn, of course a bit far away so the smell of a rotting corpse doesn't head over to his household.

Once all of that was over with Jason and his plants would collect their dead, it mainly consisted of chompers and a single wall nut. The only good news was they was able to collect something, the bad news was the state of the dead plants being mangled to just outright obliterated into mush.

He did his best….he did what he could to handle the corpses with care and respect. He concerningly didn't feel anything in this moment as all his plants gathered around him as he buried the last of his dead plants. If anything….he felt tired. He felt drained but he didn't feel sad or miserable, he supposed thatll come enough.

A sunflower would tug gently at Jason pants, the small plant giving him a concerned frown. He just looks down at her with a reassuring smile or as close to one he can manage while reaching down to gently rub her head. "Come on everyone let's go inside….i don't think any more zombies are coming for the night"

He said the his plants who followed his words, each one quickly heading back inside via uprooting themselves from the dirt and going into the place they called home. Jason lingered outside for awhile longer, he couldn't stop but stare at the makeshift graves he made for the fallen.

He feels like he should've been better prepared. He felt like he should've had a better plan, no he should've stopped playing by the rules. He was foolish to think the zombies would keep up such a trend but no. Instead they brought in a gargantuar during the day portion of the 'campaign' on the front lawn.

They was following the rules so far of how the game worked, and he foolishly did the same. He could've relocated to another house or kept moving away, he could've done something smart and no plants would have to die!

He was angry, oh so very angry towards himself and heartbroken. He was glad no one was around to see him cry, especially when he was 'ugly' crying. The kind where your nose gets runny and you choke up on your words when you try to speak.

He did not care if he was being emotional about a plant, they was alive! They are living creatures who could eat, drink and sleep! They had a form of sentience! And like a candle in the wind they was snuffed out just like that. It was the first time he saw something- no someone die before his eyes.

In a brutal fashion no less, he sat on his knees before the graves still crying his heart out. Until he was filled with great anger, filled with rage towards the zombies. He given the zombies courtesy ENOUGH.

He has entertained how things work, he has played the game and now he is changing the rules. He's not letting Dr Zomboss get away with this attack, no it was time he had a taste of his own medicine. Getting up quickly Jason began heading back into his house, plans upon plans being made inside his mind with the goal of hurting zomboss where it hurts. To make Zomboss pay, he fucked around now he will find out.

He would make his way quietly through his home, the plants was all knocked out cold in various places in his home. It was a stressful day, it was perfect chance for him to work on his plan. He didn't want to get any of his plants involved and hurt. Nor see what he planned on doing, even if they'll be fine with it.

He goes to to grab a sack he used to hold his potato's and emptied it out, he then goes to grab his trusty shovel and leaves his house as quickly with a destination in mind. He wanted to scare Zomboss and to do that he had another idea in mind to go along with his plan of revenge.

"My little pony my little pony~"

Dr Edgar Zomboss was sitting on his couch, his favorite show always brought a smile to his face after a failed plan to defeat David once and for all, he was making up new ideas each day but kept getting countered by his nemesis at every turn.

His next idea was to perhaps enhance his zombies in someway that David had no chance of defeating with his wretched plants. That was when he felt a chill go down his spin as he sat up and looked around his dark room quickly, he saw nothing in his room besides his own stuff. He felt a sense of dread and didn't know why, he scoffed thinking it must've been too many pop tarts he eaten recently.

"Tonight must be one of those weird nights" he muttered to himself while going back to watching his favorite show. Maybe if Zomboss listened to his feelings he would've prevented what was going to happen next, perhaps even take out a person who would become a second thorn in his side that wasn't David.

But now that wouldn't happen, security was lax. Inadequate and very much none existent, Dr Zomboss assumed David would never try to attack him directly. He assumed David would be too kind and honorable, content to defend his home with his plants.

Jason wasn't Crazy Dave, and he was inside Dr Zomboss mansion. It wasn't hard to find where Dr zomboss live, when the smart zombie lived in a big ugly grey mansion with dark clouds hovering above it. It was easy to break in when there was no guards in sight, it was easy to pour gasoline from gas cans all over the place with no one to stop him.

Every room he would pour gasoline onto the floor, onto objects of interest. He even found where Dr zomboss shoved all his zombies into one locker, somehow.

Jason made sure to pour gasoline in that room as they blankly watched him. Too stupid to figure out they can bust out of the locker and try to eat his brainz. He moved around the beige mansion and nearly used up all the gas cans he collected for this. He saved one just for his plan, Jason creeped along the halls of the mansion towards where he suspected Dr zomboss room was and opened it slowly to see Dr zomboss was passed out cold on his couch covered in pop tart crumbs.

Jason took out the black ski like mask with a skull design on it he found in the costume store he raided and put it on, it only had eye holes as he slowly walked into Zomboss room and began to dump the gasoline all over zomboss before tossing it aside.

The action made Zomboss wake up spitting out any gasoline that got into his mouth, his eyebrows raised with confusion on what exactly he was covered in, until he heard a match being lit and looked to the side to see an unknown person dressed in all black, black shoes, black pants, a black sweater and what stood out was the black mask with a skull on it.

The first word that came to mind when looking at this individual was 'edgelord', but that thought went away when he saw the lit match between his fingers. Before Zomboss could move or even saw anything the figure flicked the match at Zomboss.

And then Zomboss world became pain as he was set on fire. Jason watched with cold eyes for a few moments before turning away from the flaming body of zomboss that flailed around trying to put himself out. He ignore the shouts of pure pain and agony as he walked out of the mansion to the entrance, he would lit another match and flicked it to a trail of gasoline that led back inside zomboss mansion.

He watched impassively as the mansion caught on fire from within, the reflection of the mansion burning could be seen in his eyes as he stared watching his work. He felt no satisfaction, only an empty pit. He turned away so he could start heading home to try and get some kind of sleep.

Jason wouldn't get an ounce of sleep when he got home, for he could not sleep. The image of what he done played in his mind but he felt no regret. He laid there in his bed, still garbed in everything he wore, except for the mask that laid on the nightstand besides him.

He felt hollow, he did not know if this was what depression felt like or if he was grieving. So he kept trying to get sleep that never came, he turned over in the bed and watched as the sun began to rise.
