I Didn’t Betray Him

Grace was done with her meal before she checked her time; she had lectures in ten minutes, and today was Wednesday. How could Raymond be expecting Steph to get married the day after tomorrow?

"Grace, please give me your word that you will talk to him."

"Do you think I will be able to convince him? The right person you should meet is Thalie or maybe his new whore." Grace was eating on vinegar when she thought of Raymond and Ling Ye.

She clenched her fist tightly. "That's the difference, Grace; you weren't his whore," Steph explained.

"I was his tool for revenge," she answered. Raymond only needed her to hurt her mom.

"I think if he wanted you to be a tool for revenge, then he wouldn't have given you that much freedom; he wouldn't have been so nice to you. That man always pulled up for you."

Grace didn't want to hear any of those words; she stood up and picked up her bag. "I have lectures; goodbye, Steph."
