Battle of the Delhi Border - 03

On the front, Captain Lee, Koda, and Ray are still fighting the entomorphs. Koda runs around an entomorph, jumps, and punches its head. But to his surprise, the entomorph doesn't die but ties him using its strings. The entomorph then tries to stomp a tied Koda but before he could do so, Ray jumps before him and slashes the entomorphs front two legs off. He runs around the entomorph and stabs its head after dodging another web. Ray goes to Koda and cuts off his bindings.

Koda says to Ray, "Thanks for the save."

Captain Lee divides an entomorph from the middle with his sword. He flicks his sword to drop the entomorph blood stuck to it. He goes to them and says, "Koda, you should fall back. Your power's weakening. Only around 30 of them remain. I and Ray can handle them."

Koda nods and says, "Yes, captain."

"Oh, Koda. Contact me once you reach there. I'm not able to connect with any of the ones in the drop zone. Report me about what's going on there."

Koda starts heading back to the drop zone.

While at the drop zone, the prime throws away the dead bodies of Aditi and Avni and starts going towards Tessa and Rohan. Tessa is almost done healing Rohan. Rohan regains consciousness and gets terrified seeing the prime approaching them. He summons his spirit while lying down and shoots a rocket towards the prime. The prime effortlessly dodges the rocket. Rohan gets up and tells Tessa to run. Tessa stands up but instead of running away, Tessa runs towards the dead bodies of Aditi and Avni. As she reaches them, Tessa notices Aditi's body moving slightly. She thinks that Aditi's still alive and runs to her. She starts healing Aditi's shattered body.

Rohan runs inside a building to lure away the prime. The prime follows Rohan inside the building. Rohans runs to the stairs and shoots a rocket towards the prime. The prime dodges this rocket too and laughs sarcastically as he says, "Come on. Let's play."

Rohan runs up the stairs. He reaches the roof of the building and turns around. The prime too reaches the top. He fires two rockets in succession with the plan to drop him from the height with the knockback from the rocket. Rohan smiles. But his smile soon turns pale as both rockets hit the prime but as the smoke clears Rohan sees the prime standing at the same place he was before. Rohan clumsily tries to aim another rocket at the prime but the prime gets close to him in an instant and yells, "That's enough."

The prime kicks Rohan off the building.

Rohan slams to the floor. Tessa sees this and runs to Rohan. Koda reaches the dropzone at the same time. As he sees the scene of the drop zone he yells in the comms, "Captain, Ray, the drop zone is under attack. I repeat the drop zones under attack. We've got multiple injuries. Get here now."

Koda runs to Tessa and finds her crying. He looks down and almost freaks out as he sees Rohan's dismembered face. The fall had flattened Rohan's face. His head had cracked and his brains were spilling out. Koda tries to stand Tessa up. Koda then looks around and sees Avni's dead body. He runs to the body and picks her up.

"Hey, Avni, hey, wake up. What happened, hey?"

He tries to unsee all the blood on the land where Avni's body was.

He runs back to Tessa and almost drags her to Avni's body. Koda says, "Hey, Tess. Look, Avni's injured. Heal her up. You can do it right?"

Tessa says in a broken voice, "I....I can't. She's dead, Koda."

Koda freaks out, "What do you mean she's dead? What will I say to Aditi? Come on. I know you can heal her. Come on. DO IT."

"I can't. She's dead."

At that moment suddenly a spirit bullet hits Tessa's left arm and blows her arm from the elbow down. Tessa flies away a few feet due to knockback. She holds her severed arm and cries in pain. Koda looks at the way the bullet came from and gets horrified as he sees Aditi standing there with his spirit summoned in her hand. Kuda slowly tries to approach her and asks, "What are you doing, Aditi?"

Aditi doesn't reply. She keeps standing there aiming his rifle at Koda. Tessa handles herself and yells, "Koda don't."

Koda turns around towards Tessa. Just as he does another gunshot is heard. Tessa could just watch as a spirit bullet created a hole in Koda's head. Koda's soulless body falls to the ground.

Aditi comes forward and aims her gun at Tessa. Tessa couldn't do anything but sit there holding her left elbow with her right hand and a horrified look on her face. Tessa closes her eyes, waiting for her death. Aditi shoots.

A second later Tessa opens her eyes and sees Ray standing in front of her.

Just before Aditi had fired Ray pushed her away. Ray and Captain Lee hastily came to the dropzone once they got the message from Koda. Ray goes to Aditi and yells, "Aditi, what are you doing? What happened here?"

Aditi silently gets up and suddenly shoots at Ray. Aditi aimed at Ray's chest but Ray moved away. The bullet hits Ray's right arm and blows a chunk of meat away. Ray grunts in pain. Captain Lee was looking around and inspecting the area. Captain Lee understands what's going on and says, "Ray, get away. It's a parasitic entomorph."

Ray asks, "What?"

"Everyone but Tessa here is already dead. They're being controlled by a parasite. Don't waiver. Destroy their brain or decapitate them. That's the only way to stop them now."

Ray hesitates. He understands the situation but is conflicted as he has to fight his own friends with the intent to kill.

The prime too gets down and says, "Oh, no you don't. Come on, let's play."

Captain Lee orders Tessa to heal Ray and Ray to fight the parasites. He then goes and stands before the prime and says to his spirit, "Let's do this, Marie."
