"Wait until after dinner!"
Andy spread his hands and said, "I can't demonstrate my spell at the dinner table, can I?"
When it came to Patronus Charm, there was a lot of talk.
Norman and Kyle were also very proud to see how the Collins family, after hundreds of years of entering the magic world, now finally produced a future great wizard who made a name for himself in the magic world.
In the magic world, what is the most important thing?
Fame, status, connections, wealth, authority? Or the inheritance of magic? The strength of the wizard? The continuation of the family?
Every person has a different opinion on this.
But there is no doubt that everything else is within reach when you are powerful.
For example, Dumbledore, Grindelwald, and Voldemort.
Although Norman and Kyle didn't dare to delude themselves into thinking that Andy could grow to the level of the above three; just based on the strength and fame that Andy possessed now, all of his future accomplishments would far exceed theirs.
At least Andy would not be like Kyle, who could only be an ordinary employee in the Ministry of Magic.
Speaking of which, the reason why Kyle couldn't go up was directly related to the fact that he didn't participate in the last wizard war.
After dinner, the family sat around in front of the fireplace and drank tea and chatted, Andy also took the opportunity to show off his patronus charm, showing off in front of these ordinary wizards.
The night passed.
The next morning, when Helen finished her own business, she brought Andy and Isabel, who wanted to watch the fun, to the yard, ready to teach Andy about Apparition.
"Andy, how much do you know about Apparition?" Standing in the yard, Helen first asked.
Apparition and disapparition were two spells overall, but they were essentially actually the same spell, just two stages of the same spell.
The word disapparition ("disapparate") was a variation of 'disappear' ("vanish"), which meant: to disappear from a place.
The word ("apparate") is a variant of "appear", which means: to reappear in a place.
The biggest risk of casting Apparition was Splinching; if one is not certain enough about the destination when casting the spell, there would be a risk of Splinching when using Apparition.
Since Andy wanted to learn the Apparition spell, he had naturally done sufficient research on this magic.
Listening to Andy speak eloquently, Helen nodded with satisfaction.
It seemed that Andy's desire to learn Apparition was indeed not a momentary whim, but rather he had made thorough preparations.
"To cast Apparition, you have to follow The Three D's rule; Destination, Determination as well as Deliberation!"
Helen said with a serious face, "The first step is to focus your mind on your destination."
While saying that, Helen took out her wand and drew a circle on the ground three metres away.
"Step two, make up your mind to think that you must move to your destination, and let the thought of 'wanting to go there' fill your whole body from your brain."
"Step three, turn in place, feel your body become void and move with ease."
As she said this, Helen's figure suddenly disappeared out of thin air, before 'snapping' to appear in the centre of the circle three metres away.
Pop-
"Mum's amazing!" Isabel gave an unexpected shout-out.
Andy watched attentively.
The main points in casting Apparition, as well as the theory of magic and such, Andy had long since learnt them by heart.
It sounded like it was magical, but the essence of this spell still had not departed from the basic theory of 'mind controls magic'.
On this magic theory, Andy would like to call himself the strongest!
Helen walked to Andy's side and signalled Andy, "Bring your hand up, I'll take you for a try."
"OK!" Andy complied and put his hand on Helen's arm.
Snap!
With a soft sound, Andy and Helen simultaneously appeared in the centre of the circle three metres away.
Helen looked at Andy with a smirk.
Andy raised an eyebrow, "It feels terrible, like being stuffed in a tube with intense squeezing all around."
Helen explained, "This is the biggest problem you need to face when learning Apparition. The brain controls the body, but the body's feelings likewise affect the brain's judgement."
"Many people fail to perform Apparition because the brain produces a strong rejection reaction when subjected to squeezing."
Andy nodded in understanding.
When the hand touched a very hot object, one would quickly take it away before the brain could react.
But this was actually a subconscious reaction.
But when your brain realised that the object was hot, your hand would never want to touch that object again.
Because of this, while Apparition may seem like it's very simple, the subconscious repulsive reaction of the body is not something that the brain can control at all.
Or rather, it was very difficult to control.
That was why the Ministry of Magic had stipulated that only wizards over the age of seventeen could learn Apparition.
But mind controls magic happened to be Andy's strong point.
"Can I try it once?" Andy asked.
"Of course."
Helen nodded, and then said to Isabel, "Isa, get the Essence of Dittany ready, don't let your brother die."
"Got it, mum!" The little girl said solemnly.
Andy: "..."
Recalling in his mind the main points involved in executing the Apparition, Andy focused on the centre of the circle and then filled his entire body with the thought 'I'm going there'.
Finally ... turn around in place.
Snap!
With a soft thud, Andy stood in the centre of the circle.
Helen looked Andy up and down several times, confirming that Andy wasn't missing any parts, even the threads of his clothes hadn't split, and then she raised an eyebrow ...
This kid is a quick learner.
Clap-...
Isabel applauded enthusiastically, while also shouting loudly with a look of admiration, "Brother is so awesome!"
"Be honest!"
Helen chastised Isabel, and then said to Andy, "Being able to do this step means that you have already initially mastered Apparition."
"Once you've become proficient, you can try going to other places. Practice in the village first, and then go to places a little further away."
"Also, don't forget what you promised me last night, you absolutely cannot practice Apparition alone."
At the end of her words, Helen gave Andy a hard look.
"Of course, I promise!" Andy said in a hurry.
Helen laughed lightly and said, "Looking at your progress, you should be able to fully master this spell by this Christmas holiday."
"That's good, when you're out of school for the summer holidays, you won't need me to pick you up, you can Apparate home by yourself."
"No~~~" Hearing Helen's words, the most disappointed one was Isabel, the little lass.
Not going to pick up Andy, wouldn't that mean one less chance to ride the Knight Bus?
Nope! One trip would mean two rides.
The little lass glared at Andy ... Devil Andy is really my lifelong enemy.
