Chapter 48

Geats, Demons, and Neith stand in a tense face-off. Peter and Gwen exude a sense of apprehension, while Ace appears more at ease. Despite Peter and Gwen's confidence in their abilities, they cannot afford to underestimate Ace. As their original trainer, Ace knows all their powers, as they were originally his. Gwen's intuition even hints that he is deliberately holding back a significant portion of his power.

"I'm ready when you two are." Ace taunted them to approach him.

Gwen and Peter rush at Ace. They split up, and Pincer attacked him. Gwen creates a large net of webs to suppress Ace, but he takes out the Magnum Shooter 40X and shoots at the net, destroying it.

|Kamen Rider Geats utilizes Raise Buckles in combat. Each buckle provides the user with different armor and possesses unique abilities.

Magnum buckle: This buckle provides the user with a wide array of shooting styles and enhances shooting accuracy and techniques by incorporating weather and geography data. It also overlays information to visualize landing points and predict trajectories.

Boost buckle: Allows the user to enter a Boost Time state, greatly increasing speed and strength. It also emits fire from its exhaust and can alter the size and density of weapons.|

Peter sneaks up on Ace, but Ace swiftly counters by kicking Peter with flames, boosting his speed and power. Peter tumbles to the ground, feeling like a bus struck him.

"You got to do more than that to sneak up on me, Peter."

"Then how about this!" Gwen inserts a Fullbottle into her web shooters.

[SPECIAL MIX, HACHI (BEE)]

Ace easily dodges the sharp web needles launched at him and shoots them down while running toward Gwen. The two engage in close-quarters combat, with Ace having a slight edge. Ace attempts to shoot Gwen with his magnum at close range, but Gwen manages to dodge or deflect the bullets. If Gwen hadn't had her spider-sense, she would have lost by now.

"You are getting better." complimented Ace

"Thanks,"

"But it is not enough." Ace taps his driver.

[REVOLVE ON]

Ace's body twisted as he moved behind Gwen. His upper half and lower half switched places. Making the Boost armor on the upper half and the Magnum armor on the lower half. Ace punches Gwen with a boost from flames, sending her flying.

"Agh, what the hell was that!? You're body just turned into a pretzel!" said Gwen

Ace only shrugs as he rushes toward her. Peter has recovered and intercepted Ace.

"Don't forget about me!"

[ADD]

[MOGURA] (MOLE)

[DOMINATE UP, MOGURA, GENOMIX]

The drill appears on Peter's arm, and he tries to strike at Ace. Ace leans to the right, making the drill pass his head, and strikes Peter in the chest. He then kicks him in the same area, and the gun barrel in his leg shoots bullets. Peter staggers back, clutching his chest in pain.

"You can't leave yourself open for a counterattack, Peter." Ace revs the handle the handle of the boost buckle

[BOOST TIME]

Ace's speed and power increase as he dashes through Peter and Gwen in the blink of an eye. He stops, and sparks ignite on Peter and Gwen's suits. Ace hits them at high speeds in a fraction of a second.

"Agh!" Peter and Gwen screamed, and they tumbled to the floor in pain. Ace taps his driver again.

[REVOLVE ON]

His body twists again back to his initial form. Ace rotates the barrel, presses the trigger of the magnum buckle, and revs the boost buckle for the finisher. He jumps up and kicks toward Gwen and Peter, his whole body covered in flames. 

[MAGNUM BOOST: GRAND VICTORY]

Gwen sees him coming and quickly inserts the Turtle Fullbottle.

[SPECIAL MIX, TURTLE]

Gwen conjured a protective web dome, enclosing herself and Peter within. The dome projected an image resembling a turtle's shell, providing a sturdy defense. In response to Ace's attack, Gwen swiftly formed a shield, intercepting the impending strike. The collision between the kick and the shield resulted in a powerful explosion, propelling Peter and Gwen backward. Despite their protective armor, it proved inadequate to withstand the force of the blast, causing their transformations to dissipate. As the dust settled, Ace stood confidently, surveying the scene as Peter and Gwen lay on the ground.

"And that is a wrap."

The three of them are sitting in the living room for a break. Izu is wrapping bandages around Peter and Gwen's wounds.

"I'm finished with the bandages. With your physiques, they should heal in a few hours. Until then, now strenuous activities." said Izu.

"Thank you, Izu. Man, Ace, couldn't you have held back." said Peter

"That would defeat the purpose of the spar. I wanted you two to strengthen and learn more about your new forms."

"Couldn't we just have a manual for that?" said Gwen

"Having a spar would be faster, and your thoughts are too limited."

"What do you mean?" asked Peter

"What do you guys think of your drivers?" asked Ace

"Uh, a protective suit to help us fight better?" said Peter

"An armor with magical abilities?" said Gwen

"What you both said may be true, but they are so much more than that. I have shared this before. The Drivers belonged to heroes before." 

"Yeah, I do remember you saying that. Each one had a user before and saved many people before. It is still amazing to think that you inherited everything from them." said Gwen

"Yes, I am still grateful for that, but you two have no idea how capable they are. They have faced dangerous enemies that could have destroyed or ruled the world. With their own strength, they fought them and saved their own worlds. That is the potential behind your Drivers. The potential of a Kamen Rider."

Peter and Gwen could not speak. They had no idea how much power they had. They believed the drivers had a lot of power, but they were only scratching the surface.

"That sounds amazing… how do we get stronger?" said Gwen excitedly.

"I don't know. The Drivers have their own limits, but they also contain unlimited possibilities," replied Ace

"That seems contradictory. How could it have its own limits but be unlimited simultaneously?" said Peter

Ace could only smile. "That is the beauty and power of Kamen Riders. Even when they feel powerless, they will find a way to break their limits, whether to save someone or the world. All I can say is to continue to uphold your own justice and never give up. The Drivers respond to your emotions and will. As long as you believe, I'm sure it will respond to you."

The day ended, and Peter and Gwen went home, and both had much to think about. Their world has grown weirder since they got bitten by the radioactive spiders. They used to be normal teenagers going through school worrying about kids' stuff, and now they are crime-fighting superheroes and even Kamen Riders.

"Remember when we were just normal kids, Peter." asked Gwen

"Yeah, I was just tinkering in my room and had to worry about Flash's antics every day." replied Peter

"And look where we are now. We got spider powers, and we are superheroes now." said Gwen

"Do you want to go back, Gwen?"

Gwen took a moment to think before answering. "...No, I wouldn't. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows, but I wouldn't trade this for the world."

"Yeah… me too. If I did, it would be a disservice to Uncle Ben. With great power…"

"Comes with great responsibility. Yeah, I miss him too." said Gwen, putting a hand on Peter's back.

Peter tears up a bit but composes himself. "You know, ever since we met Ace. Our lives changed so much."

"Yeah, and now he is trusting us with more responsibility. He could at least ask us first." said Gwen jokingly

"Then we better not let him down then."
