Tides of Time

Night has fallen, and Xu Xena is moving swiftly through the forest, unaware of the two elderly cultivators following her as she is unable to sense their presence with her divine senses.

One of the cultivators suggests using a Manoeuvre Technique to deal with Xu Xena quickly, but the other disagrees. He explains that killing her now would alert the master she served and ruin their plans.

"Don't bother waiting for her to fall asleep. Use your [Manoeuvre Technique] on her and be done with it."

"Are you plain stupid, brother?" He said mockingly and continued "Killing her now would ruin all our efforts and patience. The master she served is expecting her return, and we need to see it through. If we kill her now, the master she served will find out and change his plan, wasting all our effort," he said, his mood souring.

The other elderly cultivator had a realization. While he didn't appreciate being called a fool, he couldn't argue with his brother's truth.
