Kind Hearted Lady

"Anna is so gorgeous! I can't wait to see the next episode!"

"I want Anna to get together with Zefyr! Scandals are so fun heheheeh."

"Hey, those two are siblings you psycho!"

Anna sat on the toilet with smile on her face as she read the comments of the viewers. Today was the day she would be acting for the eighth episode of the first season of a series named "My Winter Darling". So far, the reception from the fans was good but since only the first episode was aired, she didn't know how the future would be. 

But she didn't care too much about it since her brother was the one who picked the script for her. 

'Ever since we were kids, his choices would always bring out good results and it looks like the first season itself can become a hit.', she thought and that was the time when she heard sounds from outside.

'Just who...'

She urgently cleaned herself up and set her clothes right before she opened the door, only to find a muscular guy standing shirtless with a grumpy look on his face. 

Frozen due to the unfamiliar situation, she simply stared at him for a second but to her, it felt like a whole minute. Her mind went blank and she spoke the words that were at the tip of her tongue. 

"What... Who let you in here?!! KYAAAA!!"

Liam turned to look at her and the moment he saw her, he covered himself with his suit while the shirt stayed on the seat beside him. 

"Ma'am, this is a misunderstanding! I wanted a place to change and someone told me to use this van!", he said hurriedly as he did not want to get into any kind of trouble. Even though he hoped to get out of the situation without any problems, he knew that it was just wishful thinking but to his surprise, the girl in front of him simply shook her head and closed the door. 

"Just change fast and get out. This is a van that's only for the actors and we do all the make up and changing here. Next time, ask multiple people before you do something foolish like this. This industry has a lot of people who would go to any lengths to bring someone down."

Liam couldn't help but smile as he took off his suit and picked up his shirt, "Thank you miss. I'll leave once I'm done changing."

"Don't mention it.", he heard her voice come out of the room as he continued to wear his clothes.

He took his time to put on his suit properly before he walked out of the van and once he was outside, he simply walked towards one of the empty seats and sat down. There were a lot of people arranging props and setting up lights while Liam silently watched them all but just as he was about to get bored, he heard a voice behind him. 

"Hello, are you one of the bodyguards who was hired?"

Liam got up and looked at the person who spoke to him. The man looked young but he also looked well groomed and styled, which made him look really good as he had a handsome face. 

"Um yes. My name is Li- I mean Bryce Mundane. Robert should have applied for the job instead of me since we are a team."

The man in front of him nodded, "Ah yes, give me a second... Bryce Mundane.... got it. By the way, you can call me mister manager or just manager would be fine. I'm not used to people calling my actual name anymore."

Liam grinned, "Sure manager. Could you tell me what my role would be?"

"Mhm, I can but it's not my specialty so I suggest you wait for your team leader. He's from our company so he knows the ins and outs about a lot of things. As long as you listen to his instructions, you should be fine. Good luck and keep your specific client safe.", the manager said with a smile on his face before he walked away. 

Winter darling

Not having much to do, he sat back down on the chair but he didn't have to wait too much for the head of the security team to arrive. Liam watched him walk out of one the vans similar to the one where he changed his clothes in and the man was huge. 

Unlike Bryce's lean yet bulky muscles, the man in front of him was pure muscle. 

'Is that just for show or is he actually strong...', Liam thought as he stood up from his chair and walked towards the man. 

The guy looked at Liam while he was walking towards him and when he was close enough, he spoke, "You're one of the mercenaries who applied to be a bodyguard right?"

"Yes sir, my name is Bryce Mundane."

"You can call me Gant. Actually, you should call me Sir Gant when we're at work but you're free to call me Gant when we're off duty or in break time.", Gant said as he shook Liam's hand before pausing the handshake midway. 

He frowned as he kept his gaze on Liam for a few more seconds, "Did you say that your name is Bryce?"

"Um... yes. Is there something wrong?"

Gant shook his head, "Not really... it's just weird since you're someone who consumed a top tier serum. I know a few guys who did the same but I've never seen them taking small jobs like this. Most of them take on jobs that involves fighting battles in different planets while the rest of them work under the governments."

"Ah makes sense but I don't want to do any of those things for now. I might think about going on missions outside this planet later on but that's not my priority for now. Anyways, don't hesitate to ask my help if you feel like no one is up for the job.", Liam said as he grinned and Gant gave him a short nod.
