23. In a rut

'.....'= Thoughts

"....."= Conversations

"You probably have already figured out the answer to that question, haven't you?" Tony replied while still hovering in the air.

He continued, "I guess it won't hurt to tell you that every SHIELD agent has a tracker placed inside them. Its only function is to track the exact location of the agent. Nothing can prevent the tracker from doing its job properly. It was actually an interesting invention created by my father."

"Do the other agents know that?" Harry asked.

"Only those with a high level of clearance are aware of it," Tony patiently answered Harry's question.

It seemed like a conversation between two friends and not enemies.

"So, what did SHIELD offer you?" Harry asked, knowing well that Tony was only answering his questions to stall for time as SHIELD would be arriving soon.

"That's none of your business. Though I do have some interest in the weird energy present inside your body. It was able to interfere with the functioning of the tracker after all," Tony muttered while hinting at something.

'Like hell I will till you the secrets of chakra,' Harry understood Tony's motive within a second but he wasn't stupid enough to tell Tony about the chakra and it's details.

Suddenly a blue panel popped up before his eyes.

SITUATIONAL QUEST

•Defeat/ Kill Tony Stark.

Reward: 5000 points

'Yeah I don't think I am going to do that,' Harry instantly rejected the quest.

With the amount of chakra he had along with the types of techniques, defeating Iron Man was a pipe dream.

Even if he were to defeat Tony, a feat that is only one in thousands, the SHIELD would have arrived by then and he would have been easily captured.

After that, nothing but death awaited him as HYDRA would certainly find ways to kill him even before he reached the SHIELD headquarters.

This quest was even more difficult than the fight against the Abomination. In that instance, he simply had to stall for a minute until Hulk appeared, after which the Abomination would become Hulk's problem.

This was not the case in the current quest as it would be a life and death fight between him and Tony where Harry was currently at a disadvantageous position.

'I guess, I can only resort to that,' Harry quickly made a decision.

Yeah, Harry may be a bit arrogant, easy to anger and somewhat rash when making decisions but he wasn't stupid....well a little stupid. But still, he knew when to fight and when to retreat.

"I don't know what SHIELD offered you for capturing me, but I have an even more appealing offer for you," Harry said.

Tony slightly tilted his head, looking Harry from head to toe.

"What would a guy who's been chased around like a dog offer me? If it's about the weird and powerful energy inside you, then I would readily take your offer," Tony answered.

Harry spoke, a calm look on his face despite the tension in the air. "It's not about the energy inside me. It's about the truth behind your parents' death."

Tony's expression shifted from curiosity to disbelief. "My parents died in a car accident, there's no more to it than that," he said.

Harry shook his head, his emerald eyes fixing steadfastly on Tony's. "No. Your parents were murdered. Their deaths were not an accident."

A flicker of anger sparked in Tony's eyes at Harry's words. He spoke, his tone sharp with emotion. "You're lying. My parents died in a car crash, end of story. I don't know what game you're playing, but I won't entertain this nonsense."

Without warning, Tony fired a repulsor blast at Harry, who swiftly dodged the attack, moving with grace and agility. The blast hit the road behind him, leaving a scorch mark as evidence of Tony's frustration.

"I'm not lying," insisted Harry, his voice steady despite the dangerous situation. He held back his desire to throw a huge ball of fire at Tony's face, and calmed himself down, trying not to let the anger control his actions. Moreover, he could understand how Tony was feeling right now.

"I have information that can prove what really happened to your parents. Why else would I risk coming to you with this offer? I want to make a deal that benefits both of us," Harry continued.

Tony's mind raced as he processed Harry's words. His parents' tragic death had always been a sensitive subject for him, and the thought of someone using it for personal gain filled him with a mix of anger and pain. But there was a glimmer of doubt in his mind, a tiny voice that whispered, 'What if there's more to the story?'

"Prove it," Tony demanded, his eyes narrowing inside his helmet as he focused on Harry. "Prove that you're not just feeding me lies to save your own skin. If you have real evidence about my parents' death, then show it to me. Otherwise, this conversation is over."

"I don't have it on me now, but-" Harry was stopped from speaking further as another blast was fired at him.

"Fu*king Bastard, let me finish my sentence,'' Harry groaned with anger and a bit of impatience as he used the Shadow Flicker Technique to avoid the blasts.

Harry gritted his teeth in frustration as another barrage of blasts came his way.

Dodging and focusing his chakra, Harry unleashed the Fire Release Fire Breath Technique, sending a stream of scorching flames shooting towards Tony, who was hovering in the air. The intense heat of the flames crackled and roared as it surged towards Tony, who quickly evaded the attack by darting out of the line of fire.

But Harry wasn't finished yet. As the flames dissipated into the air, he swiftly reached for his system space and pulled out a handful of exploding kunai. With a flick of his wrist, he sent the deadly projectiles hurtling towards Tony, who dodged and weaved through the air to avoid the imminent explosion.

Tony continued to fly and attack, refusing to come down. Due to the helmet he was wearing, Harry was unable to use his Genjutsu technique. The distance between them was also significant, as Tony seemed to be avoiding a close fight.

Whenever Harry tried to approach Tony in the air using his Wind Release, he would flew higher in the sky and then would use his mini missiles to force Harry back to the ground.

Harry's chakra kept dwindling with each ninja technique he used.

After a few seconds, Harry realized that he couldn't defeat Tony this way and tried to create a situation in which Tony would listen to him. He searched through his memories of all the Marvel movies he had watched, trying to find a way to make Tony stop attacking him.

'Yes, that's it,' Harry muttered to himself as he had finally remembered something important.

"Try not to remember," Harry suddenly shouted at Tony. "Wasn't this the song played by your mother on the piano on that unfortunate day?"
