As soon as the school bell rang, Zhouzhou tossed her book aside without a word and darted toward the door, her backpack swinging behind her.

Spotting Qin Lie, she threw herself onto him, clinging weakly to his leg, looking utterly drained.

Seeing her like this, Qin Lie raised an eyebrow and bent down to pick up his little chubby daughter.

"Don't ask." Zhouzhou sighed deeply, her plump face resting on his shoulder, her voice weary and old beyond her years. "Raising children is just too exhausting."

Zhouzhou, too tired to speak, turned her head and spotted Yu Ze standing nearby. Surprised, she asked, "Uncle Yu, weren't you supposed to be on a business trip?"

Yu Ze's face was a bit grave as he shook his head. "Something happened on set, so we've been given a temporary break."
