There was nothing more painful, then being rejected by the one you love the most. The unbearable pain of watching that one person you adore the most treat you as if you never mattered in their lives. As if you were never their child in the first place.

The young girl, aged 20, kneeled down next to the spilt food and broken plate on the floor. She tried to hold back the tears just like her sister, Thando, had taught her.

"Bite your tongue, and stare blankly. That way, no one will see your sadness." Thando told her once, "No one cares about your sadness. They watch you cry out of enjoyment. Don't ever let them do that to you."
