This was a surprise because two sages never go to the same academy, it wasn't much of a surprise. With the rise of demons, especially in Shibuya, Natski had predicted that there would be an attack at the academy, so two sages were meant to prevent that from happening.
...
In a large hall, or not so large. A table about ten feet radius stood at the center of the room with twelve chairs, neatly arranged around it, although only eight of those chairs were occupied. The room was dark, except for the ray of sunshine that shone on the middle of the table, showing their figures but not enough to reveal their faces, so, it was almost impossible to tell their differences.
"What do you think we should do about it?" A familiar voice asked, it was Miss Natski. "With the rising of encounters with demons, the government is now on our necks"
"We can't just avoid it" another male voiced. "And we also have to worry about your prediction, we all know that you have never been wrong"
"We haven't seen anything like this for over five thousand years now" A feminine voice added. "Good, now we also have to worry about demons apart from the experiments"
"I'll go to the ASE academy in Tokyo just in case," the first man said.
"I'm coming with you," the second man said.
"But we also have to check the other locations too" a childish voice chipped in.
"Orders had already been given to some of our upper-ranked students to investigate,e" another feminine voice said trying to ease the rest who was getting worried, her voice was cheerful, maybe too cheerful.
"Please, tell me you didn't send Akatsuki too?" A male said he sounded irritated.
"You could investigate if you want nothing to do with him" the cheerful voice fired back, mockingly.
The man just sighed without saying anything.
...
"Yeah, I understand," a teenager about the age of eighteen said. He was about six feet tall, with a slim body, wearing the ASE academy uniform, his hair was white and he was wearing a black blindfold. He pressed the phone against his ear, slightly angered. "What!?. I'll try to keep the destruction to a minimum. Are you happy now?"
He switched off the phone and put it his his pocket, but it slipped and fell off his pocket and landed on the ground, breaking the upper left side of the screen.
"Tch!"
He walked into the subway, and each step her took echoed around him. The subway seemed to be getting darker and darker till it was completely dark.
Suddenly the areas lit up and became dark again, the flickering of the fluorescent bulbs illuminated the subway, although some were steady, there were not enough to light up the entire place.
Akatsuki Kojo stood direction under one of the flickering bulbs, making sure he was in the middle of the area and looked up like he was staring at the bulb. His blindfold prevented the rays from entering his eyes.
"One, two, three, four and five" he counted, pointing in different directions. "One upper second class demon, and four upper third class demons"
Demons are divided into different ranks; the upper rank, the lower rank and the special rank/class.
The lower ranks are subdivided into three classes;
The lower third class are mostly transfigured monsters, their power depends on number, as they were mostly seen in groups. They are both slow and weak, they are also completely mindless and tend to follow stronger demons.
The lower second-class demons were monsters with low speed but were still weak.
The lower first class were mostly demons who fed on humans' negative emotions.
The upper-rank demons were also subdivided into three;
The upper third-class demons are humans who were possessed by the lower first-class demons and become hosts to the demon. This cannot be reversed.
The upper second-class demons are mostly demons with human understanding, most of them can interact with others, and they can also use karma.
The upper first-class demons have higher intelligence can understand human emotions and can also feel emotions, they can also turn humans into demons through blood transfusion. They can use karma.
Note; All lower-ranked demons and sometimes the upper third third-class are vulnerable to sunlight, and they all require human flesh for survival except for the upper first class who can resist. Some facts stated here vary from different demons.
...
"Come on out!" Akatsuki stretched his arm towards a wrecked car, with his fingers widely spread.
The entire place remained silent for a while, before the four upper third-class demons slowly crawled out of their hiding place, surrounding him.
"Not you, weaklings!" He said with a menacing grin and suddenly the train car flew and crashed into the wall, sending a shock wave and debris flying around that stunned the rest demons for a while. No, it was more like he pushed the train car without touching it.
A demon crawled out of the wrecked car as debris fell on the floor. The demon's body was fleshy with its body covered with green veins that were visible from underneath his skin, standing almost fifteen feet. It crouched to avoid its head from making contact with the ceiling, it looked like a giant bear with twisted arms on every side of its body except its face which looked like an owl with hollow eyes.
"You must be Akatsuki Kojo, the one who has been blessed by the devil", the demon said. Akatsuki stared at him with a blank look on his face. "Acting as an errand boy for the supernaturals, such a waste of talent if you ask me"
Akatsuki kept quiet as he kept staring at the demon.
_A demon like this was supposed to be a lower rank or at least upper-third class, so how is the demon able to talk? Something is wrong_ he thought.
"Why don't you join us? You belong to us after all"
Akatsuki kept quiet.
