Canon Side Story

Kazumi POV

"Kazumi, we, your father and I, has something to say." Today's the day isn't?

"Okay?" I responded.

"How do I start... Umm Kazumi, I'm sure you've noticed that we, well, don't look alike?" Kaa-san is having difficulty telling me I'm adopted. I understand, it's hard for them, they've treated me like their own.

"Yes. I already noticed it a long time ago."

"Well it's because..." Kaa-san looked at Tou-san.

"It's because..." Even Tou-san is having a hard time saying it.

"I'm adopted, am I?"

"...Yes you are but that didn't matter to us! We loved you as we love Itsuki!"

"Yes, I know."

"And about your parents..." Kaa-san then brought out a note, locket and necklace.

"What about them?" This brings me back to when I was a baby. That was a long time ago.

"These are the items your parents left you when we found you at our doorstep." She handed me a letter, a locket, and a necklace.

These must be the items I saw when I was a baby. I examined each one. First the locket, it was well, locked. Then the necklace. Normally, a necklace will be a heart or cross but this was weird. It's a metal rod with hole at the side at the bottom part. Like there's something I need to insert in to complete it.

And lastly the letter.

"I'll read this later."

"Okay. So, when did you knew?"

"It's because of this." I unfurled my wings, my four pairs of wings.

"T–That's!.." "Kazumi, are those..?"

"Yes, wings. I'm a fallen angel."
