After a long absence, Ram finally returned to the palace. Memories flooded back as he stepped foot inside, reminiscing about the childhood of the previous host. A wave of nostalgia washed over him, creating a deep emotional connection to this place.

Despite the passage of time, Ram couldn't bear the thought of abandoning this palace. It had always been his home, and it would continue to be so. Determined, he walked further into the grand building.

Ram approached one of the servants and kindly requested them to bring Varun to him. Varun, his closest confidant and personal caretaker, was the one person he trusted to handle everything.

The servant swiftly went off to find Varun, and after a few hours, Ram's loyal companion arrived, showing utmost respect.

Ram nodded in acknowledgement and wasted no time in inquiring about the current situation inside the palace. He was particularly interested in knowing about his stepmother and his two step siblings.

Varun informed Ram that his stepmother had passed away a few years ago, leaving his step siblings in charge of the palace. They had been managing the affairs quite well, but there were rumors of corruption and mismanagement spreading among the staff.

Ram's heart sank at the news of his stepmother's passing, but he knew he had to take charge and set things right. He spent the next few days familiarizing himself with the current state of affairs and getting to know the new staff members.

Ram also understands that the British navy's ability to blockade Indian ports and intercept any attempts at naval transportation would cripple India's economy and military capabilities. Without access to vital resources and supplies, India would struggle to sustain a prolonged conflict against the British.

Moreover, Ram is well aware of the British navy's history of using naval power to suppress rebellions and maintain control over their colonies. The British navy's ruthless tactics, such as blockades, bombardments, and amphibious assaults, have been employed in numerous instances to quell uprisings and maintain British dominance.

Ram had two choices before him. Firstly, he recognized that engaging in a direct confrontation with the British navy would be a serious error, especially considering India's limited naval power. Consequently, he opted to focus on forming alliances with other nations, particularly those with strong naval forces, to counterbalance the dominance of the British navy.

However, he also faced the challenge of building trust within these alliances, particularly when it came to forming an alliance with a western nation.

On the other hand, Ram felt frustrated with the idea of solely relying on the strength of others and desired to emulate the Chola dynasty, which had once controlled the Indian seas with ease.

He contemplated the option of creating ship blueprints or purchasing pre-made ships from the system, but he was uncertain about the potential outcome.

Additionally, he realized that he would need to recruit individuals from the system who possessed the necessary knowledge and skills to operate the ships, or hire trainers who could educate newcomers. However, this process would take several months for each group.

Despite the obstacles, Ram understood that he had to take action. He couldn't allow the British to continue their rule over India and deprive it of its independence.
