Chapter 246: A Whole Year Together

In the throes of passionate love, Murphy and Gal Gadot had eyes only for each other, particularly since they were reuniting after a long separation. Their desire for each other became even more intense and fervent.

Over the next few days, Murphy completely shut out the outside world and work, spending his time secluded in his home in the valley with Gal. Their vigorous energy and wild desires seemed to surpass even the scorching August sun of Los Angeles, nearly setting the house ablaze.

Whether it was the main building, annex, living room, bedroom, kitchen, or even the lawn, pool, garage, or barbecue house, any place could become a ground for their joyous activities whenever the mood struck them.

One evening, they even climbed to the rooftop of the main building. Under the lingering light of the setting sun, Gal posed in a standing split, leading to a frenzied celebration of extraordinary difficulty.

For five whole days, Murphy's world consisted only of Gal, and hers of him. Apart from a single trip to the supermarket for necessities, they didn't leave the house.

Floating on a large bed in the pool, hidden by coconut and palm trees, they cuddled and whispered sweet nothings after another cheerful bout of lovemaking.

"It's so nice like this," Gal said, lying naked. "I wish we could stay hidden here forever."

She caressed Murphy's face with one hand. "Always with you by my side."

"I feel the same," Murphy replied, holding her close and tracing his hand from her ankle up her long, enchanting leg. "We could explore new experiences."

Gal, reinvigorated by his words, recalled a script she had read in the study. "Wade Wilson and Vanessa hid at home for a whole year. Why don't we try that?"

"Let's start now!"

As Murphy moved to pin her underneath him, Gal resisted playfully, attempting to gain the upper hand. In their excitement, they forgot where they were. The floating bed capsized with a splash, and they both fell into the water, continuing their playful struggle.

Although they both liked the idea of staying home for a year, reality isn't a comic book. They couldn't exist separately from the world.

Murphy didn't have urgent matters at hand. With the efforts of Bill Rosice and Kara Fess, 20th Century Fox had put "Deadpool" into review. All he needed was to wait.

Gal's situation was different. She had come to Los Angeles not just for Murphy but to study. With late August approaching and the North American school year about to begin, she needed to register at the university she had applied to.

After nearly a week of seclusion, they finally returned to society.

Driving the black Cadillac towards Westwood, Murphy glanced at Gal, who was adjusting her makeup in the sun visor mirror.

"I remember you have an Israeli driver's license. You should get a U.S. one," he suggested.

In Los Angeles, where public transport is not as developed, having a car is essential.

Gal nodded, joking, "Are you planning to gift me a car?"

"What would you like? A Porsche? Maserati? Lamborghini? Or a Hummer?" Murphy asked casually.

"No need for any of those," Gal quickly declined, knowing Murphy was serious. "I don't like those cars."

Changing the subject, she pointed to her eyes. "Do I have dark circles?"

Murphy looked at her. "No, you always look beautiful."

Gal continued to check herself in the mirror, prompting Murphy to ask, "Why are you constantly checking the mirror since this morning?"

"I think I see dark circles," Gal seemed worried. "We've been overindulgent lately. This could age us fast."

Murphy was speechless; she was only eighteen, far from aging.

"We've indulged too much these past days!" Gal said seriously. "You should stop teasing me so much. We need to have some self-control."

"Dear," Murphy felt innocent, "half the time, it was you teasing me."

"Really?" Gal feigned amnesia, looking fiercely at Murphy as if ready to pounce if he agreed.

For safety, Murphy quickly denied, "No, definitely not!"

As they joked and laughed, the Cadillac entered Westwood, one of Los Angeles' prime areas, close to Beverly Hills and Santa Monica, only a short drive from the Pacific coast.

Gal had applied to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), located here.

Murphy had initially thought the University of California, Berkeley was in Los Angeles, only to realize it was in Berkeley, near San Francisco. Thankfully, Gal knew this, preventing them from ending up in a long-distance relationship.

UCLA's location was perfect, bordered by a commercial and residential area to the west, Beverly Hills to the east, and Century City to the southeast. It was in an area Murphy often visited, making it convenient for him to look after Gal.

Gal had applied to UCLA's prestigious law school.

Spanning over 17,000 square kilometers, the university was surrounded by three of Los Angeles' wealthiest districts, divided into north and south campuses.

Murphy parked outside the campus and walked with Gal, carrying her luggage into the north campus. This area, with its older architectural style and buildings covered in Italian brick, was the heart of arts, humanities, law, social sciences, and economics.

Passing through Dixon Plaza, Murphy felt a sense of déjà vu. He realized this oak-surrounded square had been featured in many Hollywood films.

They headed straight to the law school, completing enrollment procedures before walking down the shaded path to Gal's dormitory.

Initially, Murphy wanted Gal to stay with him, and she too enjoyed their time together. However, she remembered why she came to Los Angeles. Besides being with Murphy, she was here to study.

She wanted to complete her degree and become a legal expert, to help her homeland surrounded by wolves.

Gal decided to apply for a dormitory, knowing it was close to Santa Monica and she could visit Murphy anytime.

UCLA's dorms were on a hillside to the west of the campus. Gal had secured one of the best rooms through Murphy's associate, Grace, during their days of seclusion.

"Tired?" Gal noticed Murphy's sweat and took out a cup from her backpack, handing it to him. "Have some water."

Murphy drank and reiterated, "It would be much more convenient if you stayed with me."

"We need to give each other some space," Gal replied, tucking away the cup and walking towards the dormitory. "I'll come stay with you on weekends."

Knowing Gal's independent nature, Murphy didn't press further. They found her dorm, a white five-story building. Inside, it was neat and well-decorated, though not luxurious. The price, however, was high.

For Murphy and Gal, the cost was insignificant. They briefly inspected the dorm, a living room and bedroom structure with a balcony, basic furniture, and a small kitchen and bathroom.

A knock interrupted them as they were unpacking. Gal set down her suitcase and opened the door to find a young girl outside.
