The Emblem of the Faery Queen

As the three tiny figures called out, dozens of gnomes began to appear. In less than two minutes, their numbers had grown to over sixty, leaving Arias quite astonished. A tribe he had believed to be extinct was now emerging all around him, as if sprouting like mushrooms. This development was far beyond anything he had anticipated.

The gnomes appeared in various ways. Some materialized from thin air, accompanied by flashes of light. Others emerged from the flower bushes along the path, descended from the trees, or even rode in on birds that swooped down from the sky. All these appearances occurred near where Arias and his companions stood, as if the gnomes had been observing them from nearby all along.
