The sheep.

“Thanks man." Abe said as he paid the cab driver.

He turned to face the elementary school, it looked lovely with the colourful playground and all, but this wasn't Abe's destination.

He walked down the sidewalk, then he stopped at the front of a building with a cross sign at the top of it.

He was finally here, Abe smiled as he walked in.

He was early, they had just started singing the hymn, it would have been really awkward if he had walked in when the pastor was preaching.

He quickly found a place to sit, hoping no one will notice him being a stranger, he isn't a fan of being stared at.

He looked around, and it seems he had exaggerated the whole situation, no one was looking at him, they were all singing.

He looked around once again, and his eyes finally settled at the front, and there she was.

Standing out among the choristers, singing with her eyes closed, the ray of the sun that fell on the glass shone on her beautiful face.

Abe ogled at her like a fool, she was just too beautiful.

She looked like a true angel as she sang with the choristers, the choir gown didn't fit her perfectly, but it looked perfect on her.

Maybe she felt his eyes on her, she slowly opened her eyes and stared straight at where Abe was standing.

Abe almost waved, but brought his hand down when he thought it was inappropriate, so he just gave a thumbs up with a smile.

She giggled, before she brought her index finger to her lips, making a shush sign for him before she continued singing.

Through out the service, all Abe did was stare at Angel’s figure at the quire.

He was so happy when the Sunday service came to an end.

He was going to walk over to meet her at the quire, when he saw her shake her head at him.

“Go." She mouthed

Abe paused in his tracks. “Outside?" he mouthed with a raised eyebrow.

" Yes.” she mouthed back before she walked away.

Abe watched her and the other choristers enter a door beside the quire.

He stayed on a spot with a stupid smile on a face,

“Excuse me, sir.”

Abe looked down, he saw a little boy in a suit looking up at him.

“Yes?" Abe said gently.

He didn't know how to interact with kids, but he knew to be gentle with them lest they cry, and Abe didn't want that.

Crying would bring attention to him.

“I want to go to my mummy." The kid said

“You want me to take you to your mummy?" Abe asked

“No!"

“Okay. So what can I do for you?" Abe asked confused

“Can you move out of the way please?" The kid said with a frown

Abe straightened, he checked and saw that he was truly in the kid's way.

“Sorry." He said as he moved out of the way, letting the kid pass through.

He scratched his head in awkwardness. He also walked out of the church.

He found an isolated space to hide from the sun, patiently waiting for Angel to come out.

“The sheep finds its way to the pen.”

Abe heard a deep voice come from behind him, he turned around and saw a dark tall man with grey hairs and sharp eyes, wearing a priest uniform walk to him with a smile.

Abe had his back turned to the entrance of the church so hadn't seen the man walk over.

He checked to see if the man had any bluetooth device in his ears or if there was a sheep anywhere around him, but there was none.

“Me?" Abe finally said, pointing to himself

“Yes." The man replied

“The sheep?" Abe asked once more

“We are all sheeps and Jesus is our shepherd.” The man said as he offered Abe an handshake

" It's good to see an abled young man like you in our midst, I am the leader of this church. Enoch Ridlocks, but you can just refer to me as Pastor Enoch”

" And you are?” The man asked as he held on to Abe's hand

" Abe, Abe Frederick.” Abe replied

" I want to personally welcome you Abe.” The man said, as he shook his hand again.

" Hope we get to see you more.” Pastor Enoch said.

“I don't know, I might be busy." Abe said.

He didn't want to make any promises.

“Well, keep in mind that you're always welcome to the house of God."

" I will, thank you.” Abe replied

" I have other people to attend to Abe, I'll leave you to your business.” Pastor Enoch said smiling as he walked away

Abe also smiled, Angel was finally out and she was walking over to him with her signature smile.

“Hi." Abe said as she drew closer
