Instead of worrying about the future reappearance of his estranged half-uncle, Calix's attention was more on comforting Leslie. He silently wondered how long had she been waiting to tell him about this issue.
Perhaps, she received the vision right after he left for abroad. Or, it happened earlier but, she didn't want to distract him from his upcoming business trip.
Nevertheless, Leslie was troubled about the thought of the man's reappearance. She was clearly upset because she didn't have much information about him.
"I'll tell you more... if I learn anything new about him."
Leslie firmly made the promise, despite Calix not wanting the oath to add further to her uneasiness. He was already content with the key detail—the man's name—he got from her.
Gently stroking the sleeping Leslie's back, Calix quietly recalled their conversation earlier. He was grateful to see her finally asleep after being tormented by her tense nerves.
