"Leave it to me. I'm quite interested in that wolf." August stepped forward. Capturing such a creature would greatly benefit him.
"Hmm? Are you sure? That's Fenrir we're talking about." Odin cautioned. Though August was of Satan-class strength, Fenrir's power far surpassed that.
"Fenrir is indeed formidable." August acknowledged, "But precisely because of that, Loki himself is wary. Fenrir is not at his full strength; he bears restrictions placed by Loki."
"True." Odin nodded. "Though Loki created Fenrir, he also fears him. His fangs pose a threat even to Loki, who would never let Fenrir run unchecked. It's a double-edged sword that could backfire."
Sirzechs and Odin exchanged glances, recognizing August as their best option.
"Very well, we'll leave it to you."
"Rest assured." August smiled confidently. He was determined to control Fenrir, whether through reincarnation as a familiar or using the power of Sin of Lust. He had many ways to subdue the beast.
"To avoid widespread panic and casualties, I'll transport you to another location." Ajuka offered.
"That suits me perfectly."
"Remember, Loki is cunning and loves intrigue. Be on your guard." Odin warned.
"I understand."
"Good, then I'll send you over now." Ajuka said. A green magic circle appeared beneath August's feet.
As Sona and Rias tried to approach, August stopped them. This battle only required the presence of Hilda and Yolda, his two maids; the others were unnecessary.
"August, take these as a precaution." Sirzechs handed him a box containing four vials of Phoenix Tears. These tears were strategic resources in the underworld, capable of turning the tide in critical moments, especially in the Rating Games.
August accepted the Phoenix Tears without protest. He might not need them now, but they could prove useful in the future.
With a wave to the others, the magic circle activated, and August, along with Hilda and Yolda, vanished, reappearing in a desolate wasteland.
"Will he win?" Someone asked, breaking the silence.
"This was my oversight. I'll contact Asgard to send Mjolnir." Odin replied. The hammer of Thor was an artifact capable of countering Loki, but it would take some time to arrive from the Asgard.
Sirzechs and Ajuka nodded in agreement. With August already engaged, they could only wait for news, good or bad.
Crack!
In the barren land, the seal containing Loki and Fenrir suddenly showed a fissure. Within moments, the fissure expanded, and Loki broke free.
"Damn Beelzebub, but no matter. Ragnarok will begin by my hand." Loki growled. Seeing that he was no longer in the demon city, he knew he'd been outmaneuvered. Yet, with Odin still in the underworld, he had his chance.
"The trickster god, Loki." August announced, drawing Loki's attention.
"Hmm? And who are you?" Loki asked, noticing August and his maids. He dismissed them immediately. With Fenrir by his side, Loki considered no one a threat.
August stood ready, prepared to face the legendary trickster and his monstrous creation. The battle was about to begin.
"My name is August."
"August? So, you are from the House of Demon?"
"That's right."
"If you're here, it means you're just trying to buy time, aren't you?" Loki sneered, fully aware of Odin's plan to summon Mjolnir from Asgard. But they were in the underworld, and it would take at least an hour for the hammer to arrive. An hour was more than enough for him to kill Odin and begin Ragnarok.
"Buying time? That's not my intention at all."
"At least you understand your place."
"I'm here to kill you."
"Insolent! A mere demon dares to speak of killing a god."
"Don't shout so loudly. Battles aren't won with words."
"Foolish mortal, kill him!"
ROOOOAR!
Fenrir roared and charged at August. With a powerful impact, August caught Fenrir's attack with both hands, blocking the wolf's deadly fangs.
This gave August confidence. Fenrir's power had been significantly restricted by Loki, bringing it down to Satan-level strength.
Loki must have feared losing control over a stronger Fenrir.
"Mortal, to withstand Fenrir's strength is commendable, but do you think that's the end?"
BOOM!
A lightning bolt struck from the sky, and a pale gray dragon appeared on the ground, the Dragon Midgardsormr. It was not the original, but a replica created by Loki.
But that wasn't all. On the other side, two other wolves appeared: Hati and Skoll, Fenrir's offspring. They inherited Fenrir's fangs, making them formidable opponents despite being weaker than their father.
"Hilda, Yolda, handle those two wolves and the dragon."
"Yes, my lord."
They responded in unison.
Hilda and Yolda activated their battle forms, dark magical energy swirling around them. In an instant, they transformed into their demonization, black markings appearing on their foreheads as dark power enveloped them.
Hilda, wielding her parasol sword, charged at Hati and Skoll, while Yolda confronted Midgardsormr.
"So this is the Demonization? An interesting power." Loki remarked from above, confident that his enemies were already occupied without him having to lift a finger.
August faced Fenrir, wary of its massive jaws. A single bite from those fangs would be devastating.
"Grand Cross!"
A cross formed by nine planets and a star erupted, creating an explosion that forced Fenrir back, giving August some distance.
