As Sara and I followed behind the woman while the spaceship took to space, it didn't take long before I felt the weightlessness of outer space, though it vanished almost immediately, causing me to raise my eyebrow as I looked at the ship, realizing it must have its own gravity technology and whatnot.
'Well, that's not surprising.' Mused Tut with a nod as he looked through the spaceship, though he found nothing suspicious or noteworthy.
Since we were now in space, I was about to let loose, but before I could, I felt the spaceship suddenly jerk as it came to an instant halt, which caused me to furrow my brows, though following that, I suddenly felt my lungs burning, and my strength rapidly fade away. Grabbing my neck, I collapsed to the ground while coughing out blood; never before had I felt such weakness consume me; I could hardly move my body.
"P-Pharaoh!" Yelled Sara in fear and concern as she kneeled down to Pharaoh and tried to help him, though she was pushed away by the large dude, who grabbed his cape before dragging him.
Seeing the dude push Sara angered me yet, let alone try and get up and fight; I could barely find the strength to speak, as every time I opened my mouth, I was met with burning pain in my lungs while this weakness continued to spread throughout my body.
"B-Bastard!" Said Tut through gritted teeth as he once again coughed blood, staining his grey and white suit in bright red blood.
Reaching my arm up, I tried to grab the man's hand, but my cape was too long; I couldn't reach it, so I tried to grab onto the wall instead, yet I couldn't hold on for more than a moment before my strength failed me. Seeing Sara chase from behind, I wanted her to run away or hide; as the way I am right now, I couldn't even protect myself, let alone her, but that would only prove to be pointless; against these two, she could hide absolutely nowhere, especially since we're in their space ship.
"S-Sara." Muttered Pharaoh through labored breathing as he looked at Sara while blood leaked from his mouth.
Sara wasn't given a chance to respond as I was suddenly lifted up into the air before being tossed onto a table; I tried to get up and move, but the large dude was able to easily hold me down while he strapped my limbs to the table, my weak punches didn't even phase him. Looking at Sara, she was unharmed; in fact, they were completely ignoring her, which completely confused why the hell they even wanted her to tag along in the first place, but now I was both happy and worried she was present. With the way I am now, even Sara could probably beat me up, so I'm happy she's here to possibly assist me to escape, but she was also still in harm's way; I had no way of protecting her as my aura had receded into my body.
'F-Fuck! I-I can't do anything!' Thought Pharaoh furiously as he tried his hardest to break free from the straps, but he couldn't so much as budge it, let alone free himself.
While trying to escape, I heard the sound of footsteps, which caused me to look at both the large dude and the woman, yet they were both present, causing me to sport an ugly expression since those footsteps could only belong to one other person.
"General." Said the woman, doing a Kryptonian salute, the same as the large man, while Zod entered the room.
"I see you managed to capture Zara-Al. Good job, Nam-Ek and Faora." Said Zod as he slightly raised his hand while glancing at Faora, who stopped saluting while nodding.
Glancing to my right, I saw Zod walking beside me with his arms behind his back while he inspected me before he eventually stood in front of me, near my feet.
"Hmm, where did you get that Kryptonian Suit, Zara-Al?" Asked Zod in slight curiosity as he glanced at Pharaoh, who just stayed silent while eyeing.
"Answer when the General speaks, Zara-Al!" Said Farao aggressively as she eyed Pharaoh, though she instantly quieted down when Zod raised his hand.
"It's fine, I don't care; with Krypton destroyed, that suit means nothing now, merely a relic from the past." Remarked Zod as he lightly shook his head while glancing at Pharaoh's symbol before shifting his focus to Sara, standing in the corner of the room.
When Zod glanced at Sara, I tried my best not to make any sudden movements; I didn't need them to realize that she held such significance to me, though I might've already given that away earlier; however, either way, it didn't matter since Zod quickly ignored her and shifted his focus back to me.
"Tell me, Zara-Al, where is the Codex of Life?" Asked Zod as he squinted his eyes, eyeing Tut, who shook his head, figuring best to respond to such an important question rather than to unnecessarily anger him.
"I don't know what you're talking about; why do you act like I'm supposed to know what the Codex of Life is?" Replied Tut with a grunt as he glared at Zod, who furrowed his brows before nodding.
"The Codex of Life is an ancient Kryptonian artifact that carries the gene pool of every possible Kryptonian; with the Codex of Life, it will allow our species never to go extinct as that's all we need to grow more Kryptonians." Declared Zod as he waved his hand, causing a projection of a black skull with faint golden markings to be displayed above Tut.
'That's the Codex of Life? Yeah, I've never seen that thing before, and I doubt Mom has it; she would've handed it to me along with the command key.' Mused Pharaoh as he looked at the skull, which had a decent-sized hole in the back of it, before glancing at Zod and shaking his head.
"Yeah, I've never seen that thing before in my life; besides, why do you assume I even possess it? It could've very well been destroyed along with Krypton; I mean, that was a whole ass planet exploding." Remarked Tut, shaking his head while eyeing Zod, whose expression hardened as he waved his hand again, causing the projection to disappear.
"I know it wasn't destroyed on Krypton since your Father, Von-Al, and I stole the Codex of Life. Krypton was dying, and the pathetic council did nothing about it, so we worked together and possibly committed one of Krypton's biggest sins; however, it was for the survival of Krypton, so I didn't hesitate. I took the fall for Von-Al and was sentenced to 300 years of imprisonment within the Phantom dimension alongside my subordinates while he secretly escaped with the Codex of Life. Just before we were lost within the Phantom dimension, I saw Krypton explode while a singular space pod, the same space pod Von-Al had, safely managed to escape. So tell me, Zara-Al, where is the Codex of Life?" Stated Zod with a myriad of emotions before shaking his head, his sentimental gaze hardening once more.
"Well, by all accounts, it makes sense why you think I've got the Codex of Life, but why do you even need it in the first place? I mean, Farao exists? If you so badly wish for more Kyrptonians, just impregnate her; besides, what are you even going to do with the Codex of Life?" Questioned Pharaoh as he raised his eyebrow before glancing at Farao, who squinted her eyes, while Zod sighed to himself.
"We've already tried that; however, Farao can't bear children, which leaves the Codex of Life as the only and last optional available. With the Codex of Life in hand, we'll rebuild Krypton up to its former glory, but first, we must start slow, and we've already settled on a perfect planet where New Krypton will flourish." Replied Zod as he glanced at Farao with slightly saddened eyes, only to shake his head and clench his fist while slightly smiling.
"Hmph, and let me guess, Earth, or Gaia, as you call it, will be the basis for New Krypton?" Asked Pharaoh with a scoff as he eyed Zod, who unhesitantly nodded.
"Yes, Gaia is the perfect planet; once we finish terraforming Gaia into New Krypton, it'll be exactly like our home world; no, it'll be even better." Stated Zod passionately with a faint smile as he waved his hand, showing a projection of Earth while an image of New Krypton was beside it.
'Tsk, I was right; why can't they just choose Mars or something?' Thought Pharaoh in annoyance as he looked at the images before glancing at Zod.
"So, tell me, Zara-Al, now that you know of our task, where is the Codex of Life?" Asked Zod with a slightly eager smile as he looked at Pharaoh, whose response caused him to take on an ugly expression.
"Like I said before, Zod, I don't know where this Codex of Life is. Besides, even if I knew where it was, I wouldn't say shit. I'm not about to join you three on your genocidal endeavor; Krypton had its chances, and it died. I don't care if you chose another plant for the foundation of Krypton to be, but I'm not allowing it to be here, not on Earth. So, y'all should just fuck off and return to whence you came from; cause you ain't getting shit, and that's on me nigga." Declared Pharaoh solemnly as he eyed the furious Zod while Sara inwardly prayed she stayed ignored.
