C133: End of the Abyss P15

(A/N: A small break from the fights to showcase MC's new growth. Apologies if some of the wording is repetitive. Wanted to give a different perspective on it so that everyone can understand how the changes work and the scaling of things).

With the help of Radahn, the group was able to take down and absorb tons of energy from the pinned Udeaus. While the group is happy since they both succeeded in their goal of nearly defeating this Udeaus, they are more happy with how strong they are becoming from absorbing it to death. Though the group is a little unnerved by Axel's expression. He has a wide grin on his face as he sways side to side, If this was a modern environment, one would think he is listening to a great song and bobbing his head to the rhythm of it. Yet Axel is so happy because he finally got his own healing ability.

While it does only affect him, this is still a great ability as he has always been under threat of releasing a strong move that leaves him drained of energy so he wouldn't be able to use his immortal stone skin ability from Asura. That is not the case with his new healing factor.

He originally was under the impression that it would require his mind or mana or something but he was gradually proven wrong. Just like with the Balor, the healing ability settled in his own heart. His gluttony actually did not break it down for energy for him. He does not know exactly why but you won't find complaining. As for why he is grinning like a fool, it is because, he, in real time, can feel the healing ability bind to his endurance stat and rapidly grow stronger. Even though there was no transformation of power of sublimation/evolution. He does still feel that he was reborn. His already powerful body has been cleaned of all impurities he has accumulated since he arrived in Orario (aka when he was 'born').

Of course those impurities that were about to be filtered out were then devoured by his gluttony as minor nutrients. He has no idea what happened in between but he can feel the restrictions from his seal loosening up. It might have to do with the fact that his stats reached their limits again but with the seal being loosen, those limits have risen. Previously he was stuck at around the Peak of A but now he can somewhat tell that it's risen to 1,500 which is the Start of EX rank. While that might just seem like a relatively small increase. It's not.

This growth means that with just his level 4 stats he was easily beating Antares but his stats then were 3000 each. This means with the current restriction, the level 6 or 7 version of him is now on par with that level 4 version of himself. Yes, this restriction applies to all his past levels too (only in terms of stats, all his newer fragments easily cover the gap of power).

(A/N: Peak of 1 was 1.5k at SSS or EX. Peak of 2 was 2.3k at EX. Peak of 3 was 3k for EX+. I went back to double check for yall. Since then he has been reaching EX+ rank for each stat every level but could only use peak of A stats but not he has ALL levels Early EX restriction)

By his current standards, if he fought this Balor again, he would wipe the floor with it, every single punch or kick would tear off it's limbs with ease. He could have still torn off limbs before but it would have only been possible through overlapping all his shades onto himself including Radahn. That or he would have to become the sun again.

Essentially he would have to give his all to reach the same result that he can now easily do. His worries in guarding Sabrina for this adventure as well as any incoming threats is greatly lessened. It's obvious why he would be grinning so happily now.

After half an hour, the group finally kills off Udeaus while he and Sabrina are still chilling on top of the Balor. He has already reached his new limit so he weakened his own gluttony so Sabrina can take in more. Axel has taken the time to ponder about his magic and how easy everything feels now. He is certain that his magic stat alone has practically quadrupled now. Meaning all his magic reserves are higher, with the exception of his nen since that was already bound to his endurance that was never locked away. Spells he was worried about casting before can now be cast essentially instantly.

He has even gotten better control of his gluttony as it increases in it's power. Previously Sabrina's current passive absorption was worthy of being equal to 70% of his own gluttony and rising but with his own current number of layers (Previously 100 layers), she is only comparable to 30% now (she is equal to 75 layers, Axels layers = 250 now).

The difference is astonishing as he faced a nearly 3x increase in layers which is not a simple 1+1 with his gluttony. He is effectively absorbing 25 times faster than before due to a mix of his stronger magic but also the extra layers.

As part of his self celebration, he revitalizes an old idea he had about how to use his gluttony. He has long had this idea tucked away for a while due to how energy intensive it was to pull it off. He got the idea of attempting to replicate his own 'dragon of darkness flame' from his gluttony from before its current layer transformation but with his hand through magic.

The principle of it was to create a magic extension of his own body but it kept collapsing when it got too far but at that range, he could have just walked forward to touch with his real body. This is not the case now as his magic range has been exponentially increased.

Moving away from Sabrina a bit, he gathers the broken earth around him into a dust bubble [1]before extending bits and pieces of it outward until it mimics his own body's shape. His grin extends as the gluttony layers consider this earth body' an extension of himself. His idea worked and since this worked then he could more easily replicate it later on or with other elements.

While it might look like a simple golem, it is an extension of his body. He can do the equivalent of Madara controlling the Nine tails, his susanoo covering the fox. It's the same situation here but his 'golem' can become stronger as he compresses the earth element further with more mana or adds in extra elements like his spatial magic or his fire.

Giving a quick combat test for everyone to see, he figures out that the Radahn shade is only minutely stronger than the golem at its base form. Though of course he can boost Radahn through shades or his nen like he did a while ago to reach the 'awakened' state.

Axel splits his body into 2 forms. One maintains the 'mountain man' while the other rushes over to Sabrina as the Balor finally reaches his limit and explodes into dust. He catches the child and makes his way back to his other half of the body. While he does, he informs the group to be careful. Haruhime asks him what is going on with him.

Axel taps the chain tattoo on his neck and states, "It's loosened up. I've regained a pretty large amount of my previous power. Had to test out a few ideas I had before whatever comes next"

As he ends his words, the dungeon shakes again as if angered by their defiance to being killed by it as it has already sent over 4 different Rexs' to kill them. The dungeon has no choice but to try something new. Something that can counter everything that the humans try. Something that they can't kill as it would only come back stronger. Something…like the hydra.
