Hired Muscle

Elaina was surprised when she saw the two horns underneath the cloth covering his head. It wasn't that obvious when it was covered, allowing him to hide his true identity. 

"As you can see, this young man here is a half-minotaur and half-human. We call those people halflings. Perhaps it is your first time meeting one, Miss Elaina?" Marigold asked.

"Yeah. I was surprised at first so I didn't expect him to have horns when he removed his head cover and thought he was covering it because he had an injury or some embarrassing secret to hide underneath it. It's just horns, why hide it?" Elaina looked at the young man with a confused look on her face.

"...What?" the young man was surprised by what he heard. He thought Elaina would start to feel disgusted with him after he showed up and revealed his secret. For some reason, he found it strange that this pregnant woman seemed to be unaware of the stigma between the halflings like him and some people.
