Harvesting Materials

After writing down the materials, Ian looked at Euralle, who gave him a small smile.

"What kind of potion are you making?" he asked. After all, it should be something that will be beneficial for them.

"I will be making some improved Stamina Potion. Don't worry, this recipe is created by my father and he had sold it before and there is never any complain," she told him.

"In that case, I will be going of now. Take care," he said as he left the building, the woman slumping on the table.

"I hope my alchemy skill is not too rusty,"

When he arrived at the guild building, he could see his party members are waiting for him.

"So, where do we need to go?" Kell asked. Ian began to tell them the location of each materials they need to harvest.

"Alright, lets pick any nearby quest. And if we have to, we can split up," Kell suggested. They look at each other before nodding.

Thankfully, the materials are close to one another. So, they merely have to pick two quests near to it, both demanding the extermination of kobolds.

It did not take long for them to spot the materials they need. As always, Ian and Fiona are tasked with the collection as they would read the instruction first, while the rest guard them.

"This is really hot," Fiona exclaimed, as she put the Flame Berry into a specialized container. She is wearing a thick gloves as she began to pluck the berry, one by one.

Behind her, was Ian, who gave her the instruction on how to pick the right berry, as the other keep watch.

"This is more soothing," Fiona said, as she and Ian, began to pluck the moss growing in the river. Unlike other moss, this moss only grow near Euzinite, a mineral find in rivers in mana-rich area.

"True, just watch out for Mana Leech," he warned.

"Mana Leech?" she asked before she begin to feel her mana slowly drained. She would have fallen into the river if not for Ian putting her arms around him.

"Let's get you out of here," he said, as he help the blonde out of the river. As they get out, Ian spot the leech and began to remove it using a special salt.

"Thank goodness, there is only one on you," Ian said.

"Uumm, buddy," he heard Kell, who point at his legs. He looked down to see a horde of Mana Leech, busy draining his mana, yet his mana remain at a high level.

 "Well, this is annoying,"

For the third materials, this is given to Lisa.

"Do I have to do this?!" she wailed as she climbed on top of a tree, plucking a fruit that is similar to an oranges at least in shape. It blue coloring is one of the many difference it had.

"You are the most agile out of us all, so you should be fine," Kell encouraged her.

She tried to nod, as she was hanging on one branches to collect the last fruit.

"There we go," she said, plucking the last fruit they need.

 "Where is the next one?"

-x-

"Thankfully, this is the easier one," Fiona said as she collect another Pron Mushroom, which only grow on a Pron Tree, a tree that looks like a pine tree except it's leaves are gold in color and it's fruits are spherical.

"True, but the other 2 materials is harder to collect," Ian replied, putting the mushroom inside his spatial bag.

After he was done collecting the mushroom, they began to make their way to the next target. They already collect 3 other materials excluding the Pron Mushroom, but they still 2 materials short.

Both of which would likely involve them fighting the kobolds.

-x-

"Fiona! Are you done?!" Ian asked as he was another Shield on the blond female.

"Almost, this is harder than I thought," she grunted as she carefully remove the Borro Snail. The snail usually reside near kobolds as they possessed some kind of symbiotic relation with the monsters.

They usually found near the kobold's tents, for some reason. Euralle's father had suggested that might been attracted to the monster's scent, for some strange reason.

Maybe after he managed to become an alchemist, or at least managed to get his life together in this world, maybe he would search for the answer.

As right now, he is busy protecting Fiona as she pulled the snail, which surprisingly sticking very hard to the tents.

"And, that is the last one!" she almost throw herself, but Ian managed to catch her.

"Let's go help them now that is done," Ian said. Fiona nodded as she put the last of the snail inside a jar with holes, and scope some part of the tent, dropping it on the snail which seem to make them calm down.

"Come on, let beat up the kobolds. I have a lot of aggression to release," he said. Fiona nodded. After all, she also feel the same way.

The kobolds soon feel on a really bad time.

"So, where is the last material?" Kell asked, looking at his best friend.

"It should be here. Thankfully, it's not inside the kobold's camp this time. I don't want to have to go through that again," he shuddered.

"Then, where is it?" Ana asked before Ian pointed upward. They all look up and cursed. Right on the cliff side, is the materials they are looking for, a red flower that stalk seemed to just emerge from the cliff side.

"Oh, you have gotta be kidding me," Lisa exclaimed as they all looked at her with expectation.

-x-

"I am not paid enough for this!" she yelled, as she began to climb on the cliff side.

"While you are collecting the flowers, we will be handling the kobold's camp," Kell told her.

"Wait! Don't leave me here alone!" she yelled but they have already gained a significant distance or just pretending to not hear her.

"Oh, wonderful," her voice filled with sarcasm as she began to climb up the cliff, her hands on the ledge as she get closer and closer to her target.

-x-

When they returned, they saw an exhausted Lisa, lying on the ground, several red flowers in her hands.

"W-why, do, y-you, have to leave me alone," she said between breaths.

"Sorry, but on the plus side, your stamina will increase,"

The punch on his face is a deserved one, in everyone's opinion.
