Inside the house, Amanda tidied up the vacuum cleaner and then sat next to William on the carpet. He laid himself on Amanda's lap and closed his eyes. "Are you tired?"

"A little, my throat hurts and so does my head," she said in a slightly hoarse voice.

"Really? Then there's no need to go back to the base today. Rest first, I'm worried that you'll catch a fever from exhaustion," Amanda said worriedly while rubbing William's head.

"I still have work to do," he replied.

"But you're sick, I don't want you to drive in this condition. Stay at home, okay?"

Amanda kissed William's forehead and let him rest. When Lucas went to the living room, she asked her son to get a glass of warm water and a medicine box for William. Lucas took what his mother told him.

"Take the medicine first, Willy. Then go to bed." Amanda looked for the medicine William needed in the medicine box and gave it to him.
