The next morning, Ming Da Run was finally discharged from the hospital. She was feeling better than she had in years, and there was a noticeable trace of relief on her face. Chen Mumu looked at her mother and smiled. It was a rare sight—after so many years of her mother being in pain, seeing her healthy again meant everything to her.
Dr. Feng Du An, the physician who had been overseeing her treatment, processed the discharge papers. As they were leaving the hospital, he handed the papers to Chen Mumu along with a list. "This is a list of things your mother should or shouldn't do," he explained, addressing Ming Da Run directly.
Ming Da Run glanced at the list and then narrowed her eyes at Dr. Feng in mock outrage. "If you've crossed out all the things I enjoy, what the hell am I supposed to do now?"
Dr. Feng laughed, knowing she was just joking. "Those are for your safety. Unless, of course, you want to be back here sooner than you'd like."
