Chapter 111 : Duelling Class 1

Over the last few weeks, the attack on the school from some unknown thing or being has increased.

Nobody knew who was doing this but ultimately many of the students and even school staff were found petrified. 

But surprisingly, there was no action from the professors or Dumbledore. Orion just couldn't understand what are they doing.

He wanted to act himself but he knew that he currently didn't have any way to kill that damn snake. 

Thinking this he just sighed.

"Why are you signing again, you have been like this for weeks," Rose who nowadays usually stays close to Orion, well it was the other way around as Orion knew that Nick was targeting either him or Rose with those Basilicks.

But again he couldn't just follow the girl everywhere, so he had Dobby do it for him when he can't.

"I'm learning a new magic, but it's hard to do," Orion replied to the cute girl's question, his being with her most of the time means that they are getting closer, at least Rose feels like that.

Orion here was not lying either, he was working very hard to learn the Law of Space. But no matter how he tries, he just can't do it. This was the hardest magic he had ever come across.

Almost zero progress in the last 2 weeks. He was furious but still continued his training just because he had to, if he wanted to confront that Giant Snake then he needed some kind of attacking spell under his belt. Otherwise, he doesn't want to face the same situation he did when facing that dragon.

In fact, Merlin told him that dealing with the Basiliks would be much harder than facing that dragon. The books and the movies most likely have downplayed a 1000-year-old Giant Snake but according to Merlin, if a Basiliks is really that old then it's much more dangerous than a normal dragon.

Orion didn't want to take any risk here and thus he wan't taking any action until he at least got the Law Of Space down.

"See you started to doze off again, someone we will be late if you keep on like this," Daphne who was walking beside the two, tangled her hand with Orion and pulled him.

Just like Orion who was sticking to Rose to protect her, Daphne was sticking with Orion after he saved her sister. And especially after that kiss.....

A blush appears as she tugs on him harder.

Today was the day which many students were waiting for, Orion too wasn't an exception to this. Because today was the first duelling class in Hogwarts.

The only thing which irked him was who was conducting this class, The ever Lusterous and wonderful Gedeory Lockhart.

Sigh.

As Orion with two girls sticking to him finally arrived at the dueling class, he saw only 2nd year students of all houses waiting there. For the Lockhard to arrive.

Orion looked around, trying to find Hermione but strangely since he was protecting Rose, his interaction with Hermione had been almost none.

'This situation is getting out of hand, either I can stay with Rose and protect her or keep my eyes on Hermione.' Orion thought and could only say that situation was troublesome.

[You know that all the source of this trouble comes from one person right, just kill that guy and be done with it] Merlin said with a nonchalant attitude.

'You say it like it was as easy as kicking Malfoy's butt, he is strong, right now I am no match and I don't even need you to say this, I can feel it. Without learning the Law of Space, I am no match to him,' Orion said, dreading the inevitable battle with the Harry Potter lookalike.

[Come on, don't worry too much about it, just focus on things in front of you.] Merlin said as he knew that Orion was really working hard to learn the Law of Space.

But it was not easy, even with someone like Orion with such a monstrous talent, its hard to learn this.

He wanted to say to Orion that he himself took decades to master the law of space but he can't. He has seen first-hand that in at least Orion's case his state of mind matters a lot when it comes to his learning.

If he is to stay that it's normal to take decades to learn this law, his training speed is gonna take a hit.

Soon Lockhart arrived and finally the class started. The moment he entered the class, Orion was able to sense the particular magical fragrant the imposter was using to influence females. A look of disdain appeared on his face, he planned to find a way to expose the man but he just couldn't find the time. There were already too many things going on in his life.

'Sigh, last year was also the same, I just seem to lack time to do things which I want to do,'

"Hey is there no way to get more time out of 24 hours in a day, there should be a magic like that right," Orion slowly muttered but Merlin heard him just right.

[Oh there are, but nothing less than the law of Time can do something like that. The time turners are also built with that in mind, although highly restrictive but still clearly the artefacts use the law of time.] Merlin replied in a sage-like manner.

'What really, why didn't you tell me that earlier, I would have learned time magic before space ?' Orion almost uttered with clear irritation.

[Now now, I taught you what you resonated with the most. Time will come to learn other magic so don't rush] 

'Sigh there is no way I can get my hand on a time turner any time soon, so is there no way to increase my learning time ?' Orion asked with anticipation.

[Well there is a way, although you can't use time magic now that doesn't mean that you can't use an object similar to a time turner. I just happened to make a room for this exact reason back in my days and fortunately for you, I am sure that that room still exists...] Merlin said with a knowing smile.

"..."

"You make a Hyperbolic Time Chamber!" 

[Well kind of yes, you are not going to get a year's worth of training or increased gravity there but yeah. I'll say that you will get around 4 to 5 times more time inside that room when compared to the outside world] Merlin replied.

Orion wanted to shout right now, why didn't this old man tell him about this before, his eyebrows were twitching and he sure would have blasted out right there but seeing that he was surrounded by many students, he calmed himself and cooled his raging mind.

He didn't even ask why Merlin didn't tell me earlier, there was no point, he can't win against the old man when it comes to arguments. 

'Where is the room,' Orion after some thinking only asked this one question.

[Oh eager are we, well I can tell you but you won't be able to access it, to do that you at least need to master the Law of Space. You see the reason that room still stands is because it's not in his plain of existence. You will have to break the space barrier to enter there, only after mastering the law of space you can do that.] Merlin replied knowing fully well Orion wanted to asked why he didn't tell about the room to him before.

'Knew it, there is no arguing with this old man,'
