"How dare you insult that poor woman once again?" Ron Chase roared, increasing the power and speed behind his attacks.
Kaen dodged, questioning in a mocking tone, "Is there something wrong with your head?"
Afterwards, Kaen retreated, creating distance between the two of them before pointing at Ron Chase and speaking, "That insult was aimed at you, you fool!"
Understanding the meaning behind Kaen's words, Ron Chase decided to justify his reaction, "It doesn't matter who it was aimed at. You shouldn't have used her name in your insult."
Shouting that, Ron Chase released a flurry of attacks aimed at Kaen. Instead of amusing Ron Chase, Kaen decided to end this match.
Kaen kicked, aiming at the grip of Ron Chase's left hand. The new sword that he was holding flew out of his hand, landing a few meters away.
Next, Kaen quickly slashed at Ron Chase's legs as if cutting meat for a dish.
"Arrrggghhh…"
Ron Chase let out a pained cry and fell down on his knees the next moment.
He raised his only working hand to surrender, However just as he opened his mouth to admit his defeat, Kaen grabbed his mouth before inserting the meat knife inside.
Upon noticing the knife in his mouth, Ron Chase's eyes widened in shock and fear.
He attempted to take the knife out of his mouth with his remaining hand, but Kaen swiftly grabbed his hand before twisting it.
"HMmpphhhaaarghh…"
Ron Chase let out a suffocated roar of pain as his hand was broken by Kaen.
Right now, Ron Chase was in a miserable state where he could not even forfeit the match.
At this moment, Kaen appeared like a fierce, bloodthirsty monster from his point of View.
Next, Kaen broke all of Ron Chase's fingers and bones in his legs.
"Hmmmphhhhaaa...."
He kept screaming for a long time, but his scream was dimmed down by the knife in his mouth.
He was in so much pain that he began to beg Kaen with a pleading look.
Tears fell down from his face, and snot covered his nose.
Everyone across the arena felt sympathy and pity for Ron Chase except one woman.
She was actually thankful that her husband suffered less at that demon's hands.
After suffering from this horrific pain, Ron Chase's eyes rolled back into his head as he passed out. Because he was unable to fight anymore, the match ended.
Ring!
The host and the healers came rushing, but they stopped in their tracks when they saw Kaen showing them their palm, telling them to stop.
Kaen crouched near Ron Chase's unconscious body before beginning to strip him.
Yes, Strip!
He removed his armor before removing all his clothes, leaving him lying in his underwear. The women present covered their eyes while the men smiled and made fun of this scene.
Afterwards, Kaen signaled the host and others to come. They reached the ring before the announcement regarding Kaen's victory was made.
Kaen simply left the ring afterward, disappearing from everyone's sight, but he didn't dissipate from their minds.
This match had been etched into their brains, reminding them not to ask Winter Nightfallen to humiliate anyone. He just takes things to a different level.
It took some time for the environment to cool down before another match could be started.
Three hours later ———
In a softly lit room, Princess Iris reclined on a couch, delicately holding a teacup between her fingers.
Her cherry-red lips gently sipped from the cup, and the play of light cast an uncommon sense of tranquility upon her face.
As she prepared for another sip, the door swung open abruptly.
A knight, distinguished by the royal crest on his armor, hurried into the room, exclaiming: "Your Highness! There is significant news from the second round of the tournament that requires your attention."
He was an old knight with white hair and a beard. Despite his aged appearance, a powerful aura emanated from him.
[Picture in the Paragraph comments].
The princess's eyes widened momentarily at the unexpected intrusion, but she quickly regained her composure, gracefully placing the teacup on the table.
She fixed her gaze on the knight and inquired: "What is the news?"
Curiosity filled her as she pondered the magnitude of the information that prompted a knight to breach the decorum of her chambers without the courtesy of knocking.
This deviation from protocol heightened her anticipation; whatever news it was, it had to be of considerable importance.
"Your Highness, I seek your forgiveness for entering your chambers without adhering to protocol." The knight bowed respectfully as he declared. "However, when I received word of this information, I felt compelled to inform you at once. I am prepared to accept any punishment you may deem fitting."
A smile graced the princess's face, and she responded, "No need to apologize, Sir Lockhart. You are the most loyal and skilled royal knight, who has supported me unwaveringly from the beginning. In moments like these, when we are alone, there's no need for formalities."
Dwen Lockhart, the captain of the 2nd unit of the royal knight order under Princess Iris, had been by her side since the beginning of her quest for the throne.
He had evolved into a vital pillar of her faction, a trusted ally. As a 7-star knight, he provided substantial support to the princess.
Upon hearing the princess's reassuring words, tears welled up in Captain Lockhart's eyes as he nodded: "Yes Princess!"
Afterward, a grim expression settled on his face as he spoke in a serious tone: "The news pertains to Winter Nightfallen. Are you familiar with him?"
Dwen fixed his gaze upon the princess, awaiting her response, which came swiftly: "Yes, I've heard of him. I heard he has quite a foul mouth but is a formidable fighter. His match was said to be the most entertaining in the first round."
"Indeed, that's accurate." Dwen nodded with a serious expression before elaborating: "However, today, it seems all that information was just the tip of the iceberg. He had been deceiving all of us from the start!"
A frown appeared on the princess's beautiful face as she inquired: "What do you mean by that?"
"Do you know which hand he fights with?" Dwen questioned, raising his eyebrows.
"I've heard he's left-handed; it was unusual, so I remembered it," the princess answered, perplexed by Dwen's question.
"Today, he admitted that he is right-handed in the match. That means he had been using his weaker hand all this time while deceiving us." Dwen explained. "Moreover, what's even more absurd is the fact that he wields a different weapon in every match and dresses in ridiculous attires, as if he's mocking his opponents by not taking this tournament seriously,"
The princess' eyes widened as she absorbed this revelation.
