Chapter 153

[Third Person's PoV]

"It appears that Zeta and Delta have each received an upgrade in their abilities. If you guys don't hurry, you might just be left behind," Cid teased them all with a smile.

They then felt the ground shaking and heard loud impacts coming from the direction where Bellion, Zeta, and Delta had gone.

Eta used this opportunity to lean on Cid and fall fast asleep since Bellion wasn't there to keep an eye on her.

Meanwhile, the others got motivated, not wanting Zeta or Delta to surpass them in strength or power. Alpha started to feel the pressure to get stronger due to Delta and Zeta. She was their leader, and as such, she was supposed to be the strongest out of all of them.

"How do we get stronger?" Alpha asked Cid, her eyes burning with determination.

Cid shook Eta awake, who looked at him with a tired pouty look. "My best advice is to keep doing what you're doing. There aren't any shortcuts to real strength. There's a reason why Bellion is making you all deplete and refill your cores over and over again. It is mostly a refining method used to make your mana purer and ensure you reach the last stage of the core."

"But I thought the White Core was the last stage. Is it not?" Epsilon asked, looking at Cid in confusion.

Cid shook his head. "The stage after the White Core is called the Integration Stage. You become one with your Mana Core. It won't just be a core in your body anymore; it'll become a part of your existence. What it can do, I'm not too sure myself since I went through a different process than you all. I merged my Mana Core with my Black Heart, which led to my heart basically turning into a mana generator."

Cid then gained a pondering look. "Here, I'll help you all out."

Cid closed his eyes before they began to hear the loud noise of his beating heart. Mana started to be released from him like a tidal wave.

The mana was completely different from what Cid usually used. It was pure, untainted. As he released more mana into the atmosphere, the others looked at him in awe.

"My lovely wives, I know I'm handsome and all, but I'm not doing all of this just to look pretty."

They blushed a bit as they distanced themselves, sat cross-legged, and started to absorb all the mana Cid was releasing into the air.

"BOSSU!!!"

When Cid looked up, he saw Delta falling from the sky toward him with her arms spread open and tears in her eyes.

Cid caught her as she hugged his sides. He then detected Zeta falling in the opposite direction in the same position as Delta, with tears in her eyes.

They both hugged his sides, refusing to let go. "Bossu isn't going to abandon Delta, right?"

Zeta didn't speak but looked at Cid with pleading eyes, wanting to ask the same question as Delta.

Cid gave them both a hug and a kiss, reassuring them, "Do you two really think I would ever abandon you?"

Zeta and Delta rapidly shook their heads.

"Then there's your answer."

Bellion then appeared from Cid's shadow. As he appeared, Zeta and Delta turned toward him, hissing and growling while exposing their fangs and clinging to Cid.

Bellion didn't have any shame as he bowed his head and apologized for his actions. "I am sorry, but it was the only way I could have made the two of you so angry."

Zeta scoffed and pretended he didn't exist before licking Cid's cheek. Delta stuck her tongue out at him and rubbed her cheek against Cid.

Bellion didn't look the least bit bothered by their displeasure toward him, but he was bothered by Cid releasing so much mana.

"My lord, please stop pampering them and making it easier for them. They won't learn properly like this," Bellion sighed.

"But Bellion…" Cid whined, "They're my wives. As their husband, it is my job to pamper them."

Delta and Zeta both looked at Bellion smugly while the others, although they were meditating, had small smiles on their faces as they listened to the conversation.

Bellion covered his face with his hand and exhaled sharply.

Cid patted Bellion on the back. "They've been training for weeks without a break, Bellion. They deserve a little bit of pampering. You seem to have forgotten that they're not Shadow Soldiers. Although they can't be physically exhausted, they can be mentally."

"I see, you do have a point, my lord. I have been training them like they were Shadow Soldiers due to their immortality. Perhaps I have taken it too far? I apologize for my mistake, my lord." Bellion went down on one knee before Cid.

Cid shook his head. "Stand up, Bellion. You did nothing wrong. It's an honest mistake. You've only trained Shadow Soldiers, so I can see why you would do it."

"You are as merciful as ever, my lord."

Cid rolled his eyes. "Now I'm not sure if you're really sorry, if you have time to joke."

Bellion didn't reply, but he had a smile on his face as he stood up. Cid then grabbed Zeta and Delta by the backs of their collars and held them toward Bellion.

To Bellion, they appeared like a little golden-furred kitty and a dark-furred puppy, hissing and swiping their claws at him.

"Here, you know what to do with them. We've already discussed it," Cid said, nodding toward him.

Bellion nodded and grabbed them from where Cid was holding them, keeping them at arm's length as they tried to scratch and bite him.

Bellion then reaffirmed what they had spoken of. "If our inference is correct, once they reach the Integration Stage and become one with their cores, that should mean they will fully integrate with your blood, achieving the status of Goddesses."

"Delta is the one who will have the most difficulty due to her aggressive control of mana. She's more of a physical learner, so have patience with her."

"I am aware, as I have noticed during their train—"

*Boom!*

They both stopped talking as they felt a strong pressure of mana, one of different quality.

Cid and Bellion slowly turned their heads with widened eyes as they watched Alpha in the middle of a crater, floating in the air.

She was surrounded by a golden aura, her golden hair rising toward the sky. As she opened her eyes, she had a look of dignity, of majesty.

Bellion bowed his head in respect toward Alpha as she stood, still levitating off the ground and surrounded by the golden aura. She held out her hands and looked at them in amazement.

"Congratulations to Lady Alpha, The Goddess of Fertility, The Queen of Imperious Pride, The Commander of the Seven Sins, and most importantly, The Main Wife of Death."

"Huh?" they all said as they woke from their stupor, watching Alpha.

"Why are you calling me all of that?" Alpha asked, tilting her head in confusion.

It was Cid's turn to answer. "These are your official titles; they are a part of you and your existence. We Monarchs have titles as well. A title is a fundamental aspect of who we are, something recognized by the universe itself."

Alpha then floated down and looked at her own hands in even more shock, but then she gained a small smile. It wasn't because of her newly acquired strength, but because of one of her titles. 'So I'm his Main… hmm, as it should be,' she thought a bit arrogantly.
