Chapter 134

[Third Person's PoV]

"Now why would you go and say that?" Cid asked with a hand on his forehead.

"Wait, it's true?" Okan asked, turning to look at Cid with a horrified look.

Even Claire looked at Cid in surprise. "Now that I think about it, I've never heard the story about how the two of you met."

"He was too strong and I couldn't escape his grasp as he took me in the middle of the forest floor–"

Before Aurora could continue, Cid covered her mouth with his hand and covered his face with the other. "You aren't allowed to talk for the rest of our meeting."

Cid sensed a scary aura and saw Okan looking at him with an expressionless face.

"Cid… is what she's saying the truth?" Okan calmly asked.

"She… she isn't wrong… Technically?" Cid awkwardly mumbled. He could detect all eyes on him; even from his shadows, he detected Bellion looking at him with a shocked and disappointed look, shaking his head.

Aurora moved his hand from her mouth and smiled. "Luckily, I quite enjoyed the experience and consented to it. I also knew if I objected, he would have respected my wishes, so it was all a consensual adventure."

"WHY WOULD YOU WORD IT LIKE THAT?!" Claire and Okan yelled, which caused Celeste to start shedding tears and letting out little baby whimpers.

'I can't hear… they're yelling… and I can't hear… I'm deaf. I've grown deaf in this life. Daddy and Mommy are going to abandon me.'

Cid's expression turned serious as he sprang into action and took Celeste into his arms, taking her away from Okan.

As he took her, he ever so gently started to rock her in his arms before pressing his forehead into hers and reading her thoughts to see what was making her upset.

Okan, seeing this scene, was at first surprised before her eyes slowly softened, tears pooling around them. 'It wasn't that long since I was the one changing him and taking care of him. Now look at him, springing into action and taking care of his own child.'

Figuring out what was wrong, he quickly realized his mistake. 'I'm sorry, princess… we were talking about something you weren't supposed to hear.'

'I can hear Daddy's voice inside my head. Does that mean he isn't going to abandon me?'

'Never, so don't ever think that, okay?' Cid said.

They watched as Celeste's little sad whimpers turned into happy little giggles. 'Okay, Daddy… it's nice to talk to you, hehehe.'

Cid smiled slightly to himself, which the others saw and smiled as well, finding the scene beautiful.

"He's going to be an amazing father," the balding Father said, sitting next to Okan with his arms crossed like he didn't just faint two times earlier, his head reflecting the light coming from the window.

Okan nodded in agreement as she wiped the tears from her eyes, "That he is… so tell me, Cid, do you already have your future planned out? Now your life isn't just your own anymore. Whatever you plan on doing will also affect the people around you, especially now that you have a daughter." Okan's expression turned serious.

Cid nodded his head, "I know. You don't have to worry about it. I've already figured everything out. For your reassurance, all I'll say is that I own a business. I won't name it or explain what it does, but it's going well, so money isn't an issue. I'll be able to take care of my daughter perfectly fine."

Okan and Baldy exchanged a look and sighed. Baldy led the conversation this time.

"Ever since you were little, you've always been independent and haven't really needed us for anything. You've always been able to take care of yourself, so I don't doubt you have it all figured out. But just know, if you ever need help, for absolutely anything, you can contact us. We'd be more than happy to help you out."

'This is the first time I've ever seen him act so responsibly… Well done, old man,' Cid secretly praised before nodding his head.

Baldy then brought his hand close to him in a fist and started to shake with giddiness. "C-Can I hold her?" he asked with a really excited expression after their serious conversation ended.

Cid raised a brow and looked down toward Celeste, who looked at him with a small smile. He nodded and handed her off to Baldy.

As Baldy held Celeste, she immediately started to laugh while pointing her little finger at him. 'HEHEHEHEHEHEHE, BALD! BALD! BALD! MY EYES! HAHAHAHAHAHA!'

"For some reason, I have a feeling she's laughing at me…" Baldy asked with a confused expression before bringing her closer.

*Slap* *Slap* *Slap*

"Phtttttt!" Cid quickly covered his mouth to stop himself from laughing as Celeste started to slap the top of Baldy's head while laughing until her little face turned red.

Claire more than shamelessly laughed while pointing her finger at him, with tears in her eyes. Aurora looked to the side as Okan giggled softly, while Baldy's lips started to twitch.

Baldy then started to accept it and let out a sigh before he lowered his head slightly and did little taps on his own bald head. "Yes, yes. I'm bald."

Celeste suddenly gained an impassive expression before looking to the side and clicking her tongue. 'It's not funny when you do it, way to ruin my fun.'

Baldy held his chest and felt his heart break in two, seeing Celeste's indifferent expression. She turned her body slightly and made open and close fist gestures toward Cid.

"Bah! Bah! Bah!" she called out, while Baldy gained tears in his eyes.

"My own granddaughter doesn't like me," Baldy cried out as he handed her back to Cid with a reluctant expression.

Once in his arms again, Cid bopped her little red button nose. "You sure are a mischievous little girl, aren't you?"

Their conversation continued for a while, discussing many things, mostly about the future. As they talked, Celeste started to get sleepy and fell asleep in Cid's arms with a small smile on her face.

That's when they realized it was getting late and the sun was beginning to set.

On his way to his room after putting in a crib, Cid contacted Yukihime. "How's your time going with your daughter?"

"My lord! Ah, it's going really well. Is something the matter? Do you need my presence?" she asked, gaining a serious tone.

"No, it's just to warn Yukime that I will be stopping by tomorrow. I require her cooperation for something important."

"It shall be done, my lord," Yukihime said. "Is that all?"

"Yes, that would be all. Continue to spend quality time with your daughter."

"Hehehe, thank you, my lord, I will."

As Cid entered his room, he saw something that, for the first time in a while, left him in complete shock.

He saw both Aurora and Claire were wearing a nightgown as they laid seductively on the bed with a teasing smile,

Aurora wore a purple nightgown that didn't really cover anything as her chest almost spilled out from them

While Claire wore a black nightgown that enhanced all her curves and exposed the black lingerie she was wearing underneath.

"Well big boy? What are you waiting for, get in here and take everything off" Aurora said with a finger on her red lips slightly kicking the corner of her mouth.

Seeing this Cid silently let out a prayer, 'I want to thank everything that is good and Holy for this wonderful gift I'm about to receive'
