Chapter 61

Selena’s POV

An alarm sounded in my heart. Even through the dim light and smoke of the nightclub, I could still see the sharp and dangerous eyes of the man opposite me.

I can't cause any trouble here, and I can't let that pervert get his hands on Madelyn.

I took Madelyn's hand and gestured for her to leave.

"Come on, we're werewolves! And we're here to have fun. Handsome guys buy us drinks, and we talk to them. That's what romantic movies are all about!" Madelyn whispered in my ear.

Well, they smell like human beings, so maybe I'm overthinking it. I just think they give me a bad feeling.

"We don't have to go to the VIP room. We like it here."

I held Madelyn back and didn't let them take us away. A trace of impatience flashed across the buzz-cut man's face and soon disappeared.

"But your friend wants to go. Can't you satisfy her?" He winked at Madelyn.

Madelyn pouted and shrugged. "I listen to Selena. She's the boss."
