Chapter 270: Everyone Deceives Darkseid

From the boom tube emerged two figures. One was surrounded by green energy, using a Green Lantern ring to counteract the neutron star's gravity.

His skin was red, with a somewhat sly appearance, a pencil mustache curling slightly above his upper lip, giving him a cunning look.

He was the arch-nemesis of the Green Lanterns—Sinestro.

The other figure was even more surprising to those present.

Descending was a blue-skinned individual, standing about 1.7 meters tall, with the right half of her face burned and grotesquely twisted. She was one of the Guardians of the Universe—Scar.

Seeing Green Lantern Sinestro and a Guardian of the Universe, Scar, shocked everyone present.

That Darkseid could control a Guardian of the Universe was a remarkable feat.

Of course, this control wasn't a mind-wiping domination, but likely a form of cooperation. Even so, it astonished those present.

The Guardians of the Universe, typically united, had produced a traitor for the first time.

"Hahaha... This is interesting! It seems a lot has happened since the war," H'el laughed, showing his white teeth.

This was indeed amusing.

Sinestro's Green Lantern ring was the first to be mechanized using the power of the AllSpark, infiltrating the Green Lantern Corps.

The ring Sinestro now wielded was that same power ring.

And Scar intrigued H'el even more.

She had not yet broken the contract H'el had left on her mind. This meant that whenever she needed power, she could acknowledge and invoke H'el's name in anger, establishing the contract and accessing the power source H'el had created for her.

Sinestro and Scar, who had landed on the neutron star's surface, looked at H'el.

It had only been about a year since the great battle in the solar system, and they certainly hadn't forgotten this individual who had single-handedly restored Krypton's reputation as the new emperor of New Krypton.

Scar narrowed her eyes, flashing with a dangerous glint. She approached the round table, and her psychic power spread from her body, forming a bright, mercury-like chair. She sat down at the table.

Sinestro, eyes flashing with wariness, stood beside Scar.

"Sinestro and Scar will split from the Guardians of the Universe, and the Green Lantern Corps will fracture into the several Lantern Corps..." Darkseid began to explain his cooperation with Scar and Sinestro.

The Green Lantern Corps' predecessor was 7 Lantern Corps:

- Red Lanterns of Rage

- Orange Lanterns of Avarice

- Yellow Lanterns of Fear

- Green Lanterns of Willpower

- Blue Lanterns of Hope

- Indigo Lanterns of Compassion

Originally, the Seven Lantern Corps represented the seven emotional spectrums.

Eventually, the Guardians of the Universe chose the Green Lantern Corps to maintain universal order. This was not because green was the strongest, but because it was the most stable and controllable.

Other emotions like rage, avarice, fear, hope, and compassion had significant flaws.

Their defeat in the ancient cosmic war by ancient Krypton demonstrated the weaknesses of the other lantern rings.

However, times have changed. After the war in the solar system, Scar believed that the Green Lantern Corps, combined with the other six emotional spectrums, could truly harness powerful potential.

Furthermore, the Seven Lantern Corps' downfall in the ancient war was due to the absence of their respective Emotional Entities. Scar now had leads on these entities, making it essential to rebuild the Seven Lantern Corps to face future challenges and seek revenge against H'el, thereby eliminating her inner fear.

The Guardians of the Universe, with their outdated and conservative mindset, were now limiting the Green Lantern Corps.

Darkseid's plan was simple: exploit Scar's urgent desire to rebuild the Seven Lantern Corps. He would help Scar fragment the Green Lantern Corps into seven parts, establishing the Seven Lantern Corps.

With Scar's collaboration from within, Darkseid would pressure the Green Lantern Corps, accelerating the formation of the Seven Lantern Corps.

Once fragmented into seven parts, each representing a different emotion, Darkseid had reliable candidates to lead these new corps. By subtly instigating internal conflicts, he could quickly deplete their strength.

The inherent enmity and discord among the Seven Lantern Corps due to their emotional differences were insoluble issues. This was why the Guardians initially abandoned the other rings and focused solely on the Green Lanterns.

Darkseid had witnessed the Seven Lantern Corps and understood them, but he was unaware of the existence of the Emotional Entities within the rings. Scar intended to use Darkseid to construct the Seven Lantern Corps.

Conversely, Darkseid planned to use Scar to destroy Oa, gaining access to the antimatter universe from its location.

Everyone present, except Sinestro, knew that Oa was not the true center of the universe. Each person, with their own motives, collaborated with Darkseid.

It was a grand deception, using Darkseid to achieve their own goals.

"In approximately five to a hundred Earth years, we can begin our assault on Oa," Darkseid concluded his plan and looked at H'el, saying:

"Kryptonian, tell me your role?"

H'el remained calm and collected, glancing with interest at Scar and Sinestro. He smirked and said, "I will keep the Olympian gods in check."

"Not enough. Do you think you can just sit back and reap the benefits? The Olympians won't even know if we move quickly enough; they might not make it to the war in time."

Darkseid's voice resonated across the neutron star, filled with anger.

"Really? How about adding New Genesis to the mix?" H'el retorted with a cold smile. "New Genesis is right next to my sector, just a few steps away from my New Krypton. The Guardians and Highfather have teamed up and sent him to monitor me.

But, Darkseid, you might not know this.

Before coming to this meeting, Highfather of New Genesis invited me to their planet, seeking my cooperation to jointly attack Apokolips.

I haven't given him an answer yet."

H'el's tone was indifferent.

Darkseid's eyes narrowed, and his cracked gray skin tightened. Instinctively, he pressed his large hand against the armrest of his obsidian throne, denting it.

Darkseid hadn't anticipated that Highfather would be in contact with the Guardians.

New Genesis had withdrawn from the battlefield after the ancient cosmic war to recuperate. No one knew how much strength they had accumulated to return and challenge him.

Apokolips and New Genesis were mortal enemies; only one could survive in this universe, with no possibility of reconciliation.

Darkseid's face darkened as he pondered deeply.

He hadn't expected New Genesis to emerge at this critical moment, potentially disrupting his plans with an unforeseen complication.

If H'el could truly keep New Genesis from interfering, then he indeed deserved a seat at this meeting to cooperate with Darkseid.

Being able to hold off both New Genesis and the Olympians' support was already a significant contribution, leaving little else to be desired.

"Agreed," Darkseid replied in a deep voice.
