Patricia was startled by the young miss's request, causing everything in her head to stand still as she stared and remained mum.

Jolene did the same, eager to hear her reply. Somehow, even though Patricia did not seem to be on her side, Jolene knew she could be useful, and right now, she needed a disposable ally. One that could help her with matters concerning the young man.

Since the former host did not trust the young man, Jolene found it a bad choice to do so. Moreover, that young man had been getting on her nerves!

His lips, especially his tongue, were so annoying that she felt she needed to cut it off. He spoke and acted as if she were bound to him in some way.
