I woke up as soon as my alarm rang. I got out of the bed and took a shower. Komachi was already up making breakfast when I finished the shower. I greeted her and she replied sleepily. Heading to my bedroom, I clothed myself. I looked very presentable and I would have called it perfect if my uniform hadn't been so tight. I made a mental note to go to the tailor later before going down and having breakfast.

With everything done, Komachi and I left for school. I rode my Dullahan a little bit too fast, so I reached the school early. I noticed some gazes being sent at me as I parked my bike, but I ignored them. I did look quite like a delinquent with my tight uniform. As I was about to get into the building, someone slapped my back.

"Yahallo, Hikki!"

"Yo, Yuigahama."

"Did you get taller?"

"That's quite an unusual conversation starter."

Yuigahama giggled as she followed me into the building. We put our shoes in the locker before walking together to our class. Some heads turned to us as we walked through the corridor. Their gazes lingered longer on me, but I paid them no mind. They must have forgotten me to the point that they didn't know me. Scratch that; they didn't even know me before!

"Did you meet Yukinon during summer break, Hikki?"

"Did you?"

"Nope. She didn't even call me once!"

"Then, you should know my answer."

Yuigahama huffed and was about to say something when a familiar voice greeted us.

"Good morning, Yuigahama-san and…who are you?"

Turning around, we found Yukinoshita the Ice Queen. She was looking at me in bewilderment and it slightly ticked me with how genuine it looked.

"Bruce Wayne at your service. A pleasure to meet you, ma'am." I bowed mockingly.

"O-Oh, it's just Hikigaya-kun. It seems you have turned your life around—good for you."

I straightened up and met Yukinoshita's flushed look. I smirked lightly as my retort managed to make her lose composure.

"Well, thank you for the compliment, Princess. I am flattered." Before Yukinoshita could respond, I added, "Let's meet later during the club hour. Everyone is looking at us."

I could hear people already mentioning my name as if they knew me personally. They seemed to not believe it was me because I looked different. Oy, oy, oy. Aren't you stupid for thinking that everyone will look the same forever? Have you forgotten about puberty and maturation? Clicking my tongue critically, I ignored the idiots around me in favor of saying farewell to Yukinoshita.

The Ice Queen immediately regained her composure and returned my farewell. I walked away and Yui followed suit, of course, not before hitting my arm for not waiting for her. She walked closely to me, ignoring the look everyone sent her. I nodded my head in amazement, noting how much she had grown.

"By the way, Hikki." Sniff. Sniff. "Are you wearing a perfume?"

"It's a cologne, for your information," I informed. "Anyway, what are you? A dog?"

"I can't help it! You are so close to me, after all."

"Bitch, I didn't ask you to walk so close to me."

"I am not a bitch! I am still a—"

"Stop there, Yuigahama. You don't have to brag about it."

Yuigahama frowned before realizing what she was about to say. Her face lit up not long after. She walked briskly ahead of me and entered the class first. I didn't bother to chase after her and entered the class a few moments later. Everyone's eyes landed on me and I met them one by one, causing them to look away. I mused about how easy it was to ward off their gazes before taking my seat.

As soon as my butt touched the chair, the gazes returned at full force. I was about to glare at them but my phone buzzed at that moment, taking my attention away. Taking it out of my pocket, I found one message from Sakura. She sent me a photo and it was me and Yuigahama moving through the crowd while holding hands.

Is it you? I took this photo at the festival a week ago.

Yes, it is me.

Oh, I am so sorry for taking your photo without consent! I will immediately delete it.

All cool.

By the way, I thought you were dating Laura-san. So, who is this girl? Your side girl? I didn't know you were a playboy.

Firstly, Laura and I are not dating. Secondly, that girl is just my friend. She is a bit of a klutz, so she is not very good with directions. I didn't want to lose her which was why I was holding her hand.

Heh…that's very sweet of you. I can't tell if you are saying the truth, though.

You have the freedom to interpret it the way you want.

Sakura didn't say anything and I concluded that it was the end of our chat. It had taken her this long to message me, so I figured she was not too interested in messaging me. I was about to keep my phone in my pocket when it buzzed again. My assumption was proven to be wrong as it was from Sakura.

I wish I had called you.

Well, I am quite sad that you didn't recognize me.

It's not that! I would have dared myself to call you if you were alone, but you weren't. I was afraid of interrupting something.

Did we look like something?

You guys did!

A glance at the time told me it was time to conclude our chat. I told Sakura that my class was about to start soon and she also told me the same. Pocketing my phone, I leaned on my chair and crossed my hands. Lowering my head slightly, I closed my eyes and waited until the bell rang.

It was a few minutes after the bell that the door rattled open. I opened my eyes and straightened my posture. My eyes happened to meet Hiratsuka-sensei's, causing her to unceremoniously freeze. She looked at me in a daze as if trying to figure out who I was. She wasn't one to make fun of my appearance, so it made me wonder if I had grown that much.

After some time, she blinked and greeted, "Hikigaya. Puberty hit you like a truck, huh?"

"I survived, thankfully."

Hiratsuka-sensei snickered and then stood before the class. She tapped the blackboard a couple of times, though, it was unnecessary as she already had everyone's attention the moment she entered. I focused my attention on her and my gaze unsettled her somehow. I was about to wonder if she had eaten something wrong this morning when I smelled something familiar to her. Before I could recall where I had smelled it, she spoke.

"I have an announcement to make. We have a transfer student, so you guys should treat her well!" Ignoring the excited response from the class, Hiratsuka-sensei turned her head to the door. "You may come in."

A girl with lush golden hair that was tied in a high ponytail walked into the class. Her step was full of grace and the sheer charisma she was exuding was enough to make one bow in worship. Her skin was pale yet radiant. Her red eyes gave an exotic look to her extraordinarily beautiful was. She was a beauty that outstripped Yukinoshita and Haruno.

It was when I saw her that I remembered where I had smelled the scent. She looked younger and shorter, but I was sure that she was no other than Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade.

"Good morning, everyone. My name is Oshino Shinobu. I will be in your care," she introduced, sneakily sending a gleeful look at me.

So, when she said she was doing paperwork, she meant she was busy forging a new identity? Well, I didn't expect it, but I am not surprised.

"Well, Oshino, the principal told me that you get to choose where to sit, so feel free to choose your seat. I will relocate the student whose seat is taken."

When I saw Kiss-Shot sending me a small smile, I knew my bad feeling was not entirely unjustified. She was planning something and I dreaded it.

"Then, I will sit beside the boy over there." She pointed at me. "I need to know the person whom I am going to spend the rest of my life with better after all."

As silence engulfed the entire class, a sigh and a little bit of my life force escaped my mouth. Hiratsuka-sensei blinked before looking at me in shock. I met her gaze unwaveringly and she reluctantly looked away. It was when she told Kiss-Shot to take a sit that the class exploded to murmurs. The boys barely hid their glare and the girls sent me a weird look. Yuigahama looked uncomfortable, but I ignored her.

"It's been some time, Hachiman," Kiss-Shot, or rather, Shinobu said with a smile upon sitting down.

"It's been some time, Shinobu. You shouldn't have said something that can easily cause a misunderstanding," I replied with a hint of exasperation.

"Ara; will it be bad for you if someone misunderstands me? No one should mind, right?"

Oshino Shinobu, what are you cooking?
