Regarding Craig's claim that the current Emperor Rode was once Celebi, Yuga held a skeptical attitude.
This skepticism stemmed from the fact that Gardevoir was currently safe inside its Poké Ball.
Furthermore, compared to the gloomy Emperor Rode, Gardevoir's personality, although somewhat resolute, was closer to the old kind-hearted Celebi.
As Yuga observed Emperor Rode's Gardevoir, he knew that if Gardevoir didn't intervene, they might be stuck here today. So, he took out his Poké Ball and released Gardevoir.
As soon as Gardevoir emerged, Emperor Rode exclaimed, "Who are you!"
Gardevoir, upon seeing Emperor Rode, displayed a peculiar expression and responded, "Who are you?"
Feeling the presence of a power within Gardevoir similar to his own, Emperor Rode's face turned extremely fearful.
He thought of the biggest secret he had hidden within himself.
But that couldn't be possible! He had concealed the Guardian Orb underground, and he hadn't revealed its location to anyone, not even Craig.
But now, in front of him, there was Gardevoir with the same Aura as him!
The more he thought about it, the more terrified Emperor Rode became.
"It's impossible, impossible! How did you come out?" he shouted in panic.
Though Gardevoir also sensed a psychic power wave from Emperor Rode that matched its own, it had no idea what was happening.
Craig was equally baffled by Emperor Rode's behavior. He couldn't understand why the usually fearless Emperor Rode was so afraid of the Gardevoir before him.
Yuga and Shadowsong shared the same confusion.
They couldn't comprehend the connection between Gardevoir and Emperor Rode.
"Kill it for me!" Emperor Rode pointed at Gardevoir and shouted at his own Gardevoir.
In an instant, Emperor Rode established a psychic link with his Gardevoir, greatly amplifying its Psychic-type abilities.
Emperor Rode's Gardevoir's eyes gleamed with purple light, and under its control, countless Magical Leaf shot towards Gardevoir.
Gardevoir mimicked the attack, releasing countless Magical Leaf of its own.
The two dragons made of green Leaves collided with a powerful explosion, and the strength of their abilities was evenly matched.
Once the Magical Leaf exchange ended in a stalemate, a mental battle ensued between Gardevoir and Emperor Rode's Gardevoir.
Their psychic energies clashed violently, creating a psychic storm within the tent that soon overturned it.
Outside the main camp, soldiers quickly noticed the commotion and surrounded the area.
"Prince Shadowsong, in collusion with outsiders, attempted to harm His Majesty. Their crimes deserve death. Capture Prince Shadowsong and his accomplices, and execute them without mercy," Craig shouted at the soldiers.
The soldiers exchanged uncertain glances.
They faced a dilemma, torn between the prince and their respected Emperor. They didn't know how to proceed.
"Have you forgotten His Majesty's orders already?" Craig yelled at the soldiers.
Seeing that Emperor Rode hadn't intervened to stop Craig, the soldiers reluctantly decided to follow Emperor Rode's longstanding authority and the considerable influence of Craig.
In response to the soldiers advancing toward him, Shadowsong quickly released his Sceptile and Hubert's Dusknoir to defend himself.
Meanwhile, Yuga, keeping an eye on the battle between Gengar, Mismagius, and Medicham, and choose to sent out his Dragonite, Charizard, Roserade, Bellossom, Venusaur, and Breloom to assist Shadowsong.
The number of soldiers was overwhelming, and it was impossible for Shadowsong to handle them alone.
Gardevoir was currently constrained by Emperor Rode and couldn't use Teleport to get them out of there. Besides, Gardevoir wasn't willing to leave; it wanted to figure out what was happening with Emperor Rode.
Emperor Rode's Gardevoir, although inherently less powerful than Gardevoir, managed to match its strength through the psychic power amplification by Emperor Rode.
Sensing Gardevoir's immense power, jealousy filled Emperor Rode's face. He didn't want to be in this weak human body but craved the body of a Psychic-type Pokémon like Gardevoir.
However, when he possessed this body, there were no Pokémon nearby!
The entire camp was now in ruins due to the psychic storm created by Gardevoir and Emperor Rode's Gardevoir. The two Gardevoir floated in the air, engaging in an intense battle.
Gardevoir effortlessly conjured numerous green energy balls around it, and its eyes glowed with a faint purple light as it quietly used its signature move, Future Sight.
Emperor Rode's Gardevoir was surrounded by small, black and purple Shadow Balls that densely covered its body.
The green energy balls and the black and purple Shadow Balls turned into projectiles, firing at each other. The explosions generated shockwaves, causing many soldiers and their Pokémon to fall unconscious due to the impact.
The battle between Champion level Pokémon was terrifying.
As the exchange of energy balls and Shadow Balls reached another standstill, Gardevoir used Double Team, creating numerous identical copies of itself in the air to surround Emperor Rode's Gardevoir.
With eyes glowing intensely purple, Gardevoir unleashed its psychic power, targeting Emperor Rode's Gardevoir with Hypnosis.
Psychic waves surged towards Emperor Rode's Gardevoir, but it quickly erected a green light barrier around itself, shielding against the Hypnosis.
After Gardevoir's Hypnosis wave subsided, Emperor Rode's Gardevoir retaliated by launching Shadow Balls in all directions. Gardevoir's illusory copies shattered one by one, and Gardevoir itself was hit by a Shadow Ball.
Before Emperor Rode could celebrate, Gardevoir's previously activated Future Sight took effect. Two transparent rings descended from the sky, landing directly on Emperor Rode's Gardevoir.
Affected by Future Sight, Emperor Rode's Gardevoir let out a miserable cry, falling from the sky and creating a large crater upon impact.
Gardevoir, enduring the pain from being struck by the Shadow Ball, flew over Emperor Rode's Gardevoir and began tossing energy balls down below.
The crater was still filled with dust and smoke, obscuring the view inside.
However, as Gardevoir's energy balls entered the crater, an invisible barrier formed above it, blocking all the projectiles.
Gardevoir paid no heed to the barrier and continued hurling energy balls downward.
After countless throws, a cracking sound echoed, and fine cracks appeared on the invisible barrier.
