More than ten days had passed since the start of the new year, and the festive atmosphere had gradually faded. People in town were returning to work or setting off on trips.

The YoYo Day Care reopened for business on the seventh day of the new year, and Misaki successfully made her way from home to resume her work there.

Luna and Rand had returned to Sootopolis City to continue their studies a couple of days earlier.

After her conversation with Muya on New Year's Eve, Muya still spent her days in the shop, but with one difference: she no longer kept to a strict schedule, occasionally disappearing every few days.

Yuga didn't concern himself with her actions.

What did concern him, though, was the Jaboca Berry Tree he had carefully nurtured finally blooming. With the flowers in full bloom, would there be Berrys soon?

On the same day, Houndoom successfully laid a bright red Pokémon egg, bringing immense joy to Ninetales and Houndoom.

Without a doubt, this was an egg that followed it father's, and it had a rare blue potential.

This double joy put Yuga in a very good mood. As he exited the Ecopark and entered the shop, Suzuki Koen said to him, "It's snowing outside!"

Snowing?

Yuga was surprised and headed to the shop's entrance.

Sure enough, the sky was filled with goose-feather-like snowflakes, and there were quite a few children outside cheering.

Hoenn region was a place where it rarely snowed, even coastal areas hardly ever experienced snowfall. So, for Verdanturf Town to have such heavy snowfall was truly unusual.

"Shroomish!"

At that moment, Shroomish suddenly appeared at Yuga's feet, shivering as it gazed at the swirling snowflakes outside. Being a Grass-type Pokémon, Shroomish despised this kind of cold weather.

However, if Yuga tried to send Shroomish to the Ecopark, it refused to go and was content following Yuga around everywhere he went.

These days, Yuga had been training with Shroomish and Charmander.

What's more, there were nine new Psychic-type moves added!

Among them, Future Sight was an inherited move that the original Chimecho didn't have but had awakened now.

Teleport was a move that Chimecho's species couldn't normally learn, but it had now mastered it.

Most importantly, Chimecho had learned Deoxys's exclusive move—Psycho Boost! While this move had its downsides, it was one of the most powerful Psychic-type moves, rivaling even Future Sight.

Chimecho's drastic transformation left Yuga in a daze all day, until he received a call from Ryuichi.

"Ryuichi, what's up? Why did you suddenly decide to call me?" Yuga asked curiously.

Ryuichi replied, "Master asked me to tell you that he hopes to meet you in Mauville City before February 22nd."

February 22nd? Isn't that already spring?

Why talk about spring when it's snowing? Mr. Kuni'o doesn't seem to be making much sense!

But why does he want to see me in Mauville City before February 22nd?

"Do you know why Mr. Kuni'o wants to meet me?" Yuga was curious. He had been at the manor for so long, and Mr. Kuni'o had never proactively met with him. What was the purpose this time?

"You'll find out when you get there. But Mr. Kuni'o said it's entirely up to you whether you come or not; he won't force you."
