Chapter 2: Reborn

Warm....and dark, everything was warm and dark for Dee. It was quite nice. Honestly, it almost felt like a break from all the screaming and chaos he just experienced. But remembering all of that came with emotions. Emotions that made him panic, he felt anger, sadness, and regret. These were the emotions that consumed him in his last moments. He started moving the best he could he wanted to be free. He wanted to find Lynn and protect her properly this time and not screw up... he wanted a do over.

He calmed down, tired of moving. He thought that this might be it that this was the afterlife, but almost immediately to prove him wrong, he felt a tug at his leg, and he went on like this after 3 more tugs until he felt multiple sensations. It was cold but warm at the same time, he heard screaming and multiple voices but it was all muffled and lastly it was bright REALLY BRIGHT.

Feeling all these sensations on top of the grief for his friend was too much, so he caved in and started crying. He cried and cried and cried until he heard crying that wasn't his. Everything was blurry, so he couldn't see well, but he turned to see a baby crying, holding his hand, and not only that, he looked at his arm and noticed it looked alot like a baby's arm then it hit him like a truck he was reincarnated.

3 hours passed, or at least that's what it felt like to Dee.

He still couldn't see or hear well, but he could feel multiple people touching him. He felt the other baby or his twin he should say feet against his, on his right shoulder he felt his mother's chest, and holding his left hand he assumed it was his father because of the deep voice resembling a man's. He still couldn't wrap his head around this situation like how this was even possible or if he was still on earth, so the only thing he could do was sit still and collect more information.

Another time skip of 3 months, and Dee is able to see and hear much clearly now. Not completely, but decently enough to see his parents face, his mother was a beautiful woman with blue eyes, white pale skin, and midnight black hair while his father was a tall tanned man with brown hair, a beard, and hazel eyes, he reminded Dee alot of a bear.

Looking to his right, he saw his twin sister laying next to him. Since they were born, they never really interacted much or even looked at each other, Dee found this strange, but he didn't want to interact with his new sister at the moment anyway after all he already failed to protect the last one.

Hearing his parents talk, he decided to direct his attention towards that. He still didn't understand the language much, but surprisingly, it was coming along easy for him to understand basic things like baby and door. As happy as he was, he still couldn't move how he wanted, so he still had to endure pissing and shitting himself, and speaking of shitting he needed to be changed, time was going to be his worst enemy.
