Chapter 91: Muzan

At the entrance, two figures appeared.

The one who had just spoken was a beautiful woman, her long, jet-black hair twisted into a bun. Her eyes were gentle, like a soft purple mist, her complexion slightly pale. She was dressed in a purple kimono, adorned with light purple wave-like branches and red flowers.

Beside her stood a young man, his face as pale as hers. However, unlike the woman, his expression was one that suggested he was not to be trifled with.

"Are you two... demons?" Jon asked them.

"Yes!" The woman lowered her head, a hint of bitterness in her expression. "My name is Tamayo. I am both a demon and a doctor.

Jon, having read the original work, knew that Tamayo, although a demon, had broken free from Muzan's curse and was his enemy. She was referred to as a "fugitive" by Muzan's minions. Over centuries, she used her abilities to heal many who had just been turned into demons. She firmly believed that by uniting those with a common purpose, they could kill Muzan. For this, she had risked everything.

In the end, she developed a medicine that could turn demons back into humans, saving the protagonist Tanjiro's demon sister. She was killed by Muzan during their final battle, but her sacrifice bought the protagonists the opportunity to kill Muzan.

"Sir, if possible, I hope you can leave the girl to me. I will do my best to cure her!" Tamayo said to Jon. "Also, I have a very important matter to discuss with you, so I would like to invite you to my residence."

Jon wrapped his chains around himself again, walked past them towards the door, and said, "Not now, I have things to do. As for this demon girl, you can handle take her."

"Where are you going?" Tamayo asked.

"To chase Muzan." Jon replied indifferently.

Tamayo turned and said, "Your courage is admirable, but in four hundred years, countless people have tried to kill Muzan, and none have succeeded. I suggest you not act rashly."

However, Jon turned his head and sneered, "I am not you."

***

In a dark alley, a man in a black suit and white round hat walked silently.

He was handsome and extraordinary, but his blood-red eyes were surrounded by bulging veins, making him look incredibly gloomy.

Suddenly, he stopped and slightly turned his head to look behind him.

From the darkness, a man in a leather jacket, heavy chains hanging from his body, slowly approached.

"Who are you?" the man asked warily.

He didn't seem to be from the Demon Slayer Corps, but his appearance was strange, giving off a dangerous vibe.

But... what kind of existence could make him feel threatened?!

"Who am I?" Jon thought for a moment, then replied, "If I had to say, I'd be the king of hell!"

He then touched the chains on his body and said, "See these chains on me? Anyone I set my sights on, I'll drag them to hell with these."

"Hell?" The man's pupils shrank, his body trembling slightly, his face twisted in a grimace. "Are you saying that a mortal trash like you can send me there?!"

One of the things he hated most was being told he was about to die. Jon's words were like a sarcastic way of saying "You're about to die". After all, apart from demons, only the dead sinners go to hell.

So he was furious, but he didn't rush to act. His instincts told him something was off about the man in front of him.

If this had been hundreds of years ago, he would have attacked immediately. But not now. The man in front of him showed no fear in his presence, just like a man he had met during the Sengoku period, who stood before him with a calm face, showing no fear or trepidation.

Of course, he didn't take that man seriously, thinking he would just kill him since he was in his way. However, the result was that he was almost killed by that man's swordsmanship.

After that, he hid in the Infinite Fortress for hundreds of years, only daring to come out after he was sure that man had died of old age.

And now, the man in front of him gave him the exact same feeling as back then, causing a throbbing pain in his neck.

"Amura, let's find another place to have a drink!"

"You're already drunk and you still want to drink, let's go home!"

Just then, two drunken men staggered by, passing between the two of them.

The man's eyes flickered, and he extended his claw-like nails from his sleeve.

He raised his hand, his nails aiming for the drunkard beside him.

Suddenly, a chain flew out, imbued with hellfire tightly binding his hand.

"Don't even think about it," Jon said calmly, holding the chain.

Jon knew this was a common tactic of Muzan's. He could transmit his blood into another person's body, and once Muzan's blood was in their body, they would turn into a demon. So the moment Muzan raised his hand, Jon knew what he was planning and immediately stopped him with the hellfire chain.

Aagh!

A severe burning sensation spread from his wrist, and Muzan let out a scream. He quickly rolled up his sleeve to look at the burn on his wrist. After seeing the burning chain, the two drunkards were startled sober by the commotion and quickly fled the alley.

The burn showed no signs of healing, but was instead spreading.

"How can this be?!" Muzan exclaimed in horror.

It was the same, exactly the same feeling as hundreds of years ago. Hundreds of years ago, a Sun Breathing user named Yoriichi Tsugikuni had left a wound on him that couldn't heal, and this man had done the same.

"Something's wrong!" Muzan muttered to himself, feeling a sharp pain in his neck again.

This man might be just like Yoriichi Tsugikuni. For now, he should avoid getting close to him until he figured out his strength. He would hide in the Infinite Fortress for now, then send other demons to test him, to see what he was capable of. If all else failed, he would hide in the Infinite Fortress for a few hundred years, waiting for this man to die of old age.

Muzan's judgment was correct. If he had done this, Jon would indeed have been troubled. After all, he only had 40 days in this world. If Muzan escaped, Jon would indeed have a hard time. If he killed Muzan directly, he would be deemed to have completed the main mission and be transported back to the main world, leaving many tasks incomplete.

Unfortunately for him, Jon had anticipated Muzan's move and was prepared.

Just as Muzan was about to flee, a circular portal appeared under his feet, and Muzan fell into it.

Yes, this was Doctor Strange's dimensional portal, and it led to another enclosed space.

In other words, Muzan had been captured alive by Jon, and now there was no need to worry about him escaping.
