Chapter 175 Spider-Man Ravages Two Heroes Alone!

Although there was just a new topic about Spider-Man, Nick Fury felt that there were some things he needed to clarify with Wanda Maximoff. He walked up to Wanda and said, "You know, when Loki comes to Earth and we get his scepter, I'll find a way to give it to Stark. As for you, all you have to do is find him and accept his experiment. Your future won't change. It's just Stark, I'll keep him around for now, for you."

"Even so, I'm not sure if I still want to participate in the experiment," Wanda Maximoff said weakly. "In the video, I agreed to the experiment because I hated Stark, I wanted revenge. But now, I don't want revenge anymore, so what reason do I have to participate in the experiment?"

"Wanda, even if you're not seeking revenge anymore, isn't it good to become stronger?" Pietro Maximoff had a different opinion from his sister. "If we had the power back then when that bomb fell, we wouldn't have been helpless. We could have saved our parents, saved many people."

"Pietro, if there's a chance to save others, I will." Wanda Maximoff said, "But that's an experiment, using us as guinea pigs! I don't know what the process is, but I believe it's very dangerous. Although Director Fury said he would try his best to ensure this part of the future, the future will still change to some extent. Who knows if this change will lead to the failure of our experiment?"

"Is it safe to assume that the experiment is safe if there are no changes?" Pietro Maximoff smiled, "To gain great power, you have to bear great risks. Even ordinary people risk getting hit by a car while walking on the street. Considering this and that, wouldn't everything be restricted?"

"Pietro is right. The world is getting more chaotic—Loki, Thanos, Hela, Dormammu, powerful enemies one after another," Nick Fury said, "In such circumstances, the only guarantee to survive until the end is power, the power strong enough to protect those you care about!"

"Alright, I'll consider it," Wanda Maximoff said, "Now it's Peter's turn for the question, let's help Peter analyze it quickly."

"It has to be said, Peter is a lucky kid." Nick Fury walked up to Peter Parker and ruffled his hair, "The reward is actually electricity."

"Is this a superpower? If I answer correctly, can I use electricity?" Peter Parker looked up at Nick Fury and asked.

"Yes, kid, this should be a kind of superpower." Nick Fury said, "If you answer correctly, you should be able to use electricity."

"But electricity is a very powerful energy." Peter Parker suddenly got excited, but then looked worried, "But can I answer correctly? It's so different from what I learned in school."

"Don't worry, kid, we'll help you." Steve Rogers walked up to Peter Parker and smiled, "This question doesn't seem too difficult."

"Yes, not too difficult." Nick Fury narrowed his eyes, first looked at Steve Rogers, then at Tony Stark, "If I'm not mistaken, this Civil War among heroes, is related to you two, right? You two are the only ones among the superheroes with irreconcilable differences. You've already fought each other in the video."

"Fury, you're being too categorical," Steve Rogers shook his head immediately, "Tony wants to kill Bucky, and I want to protect him. Yes, it's created a conflict between Tony and me, and for now, there doesn't seem to be a good solution. But it's still a matter between me, Bucky, and Tony. How can you equate it with the 'Civil War'? 'Civil War' clearly involves many people! I don't think anyone else will get involved in the fight between Tony and me."

"That's right, Fury. As for the conflict between Tony and Cap due to Bucky, I won't interfere," Natasha Romanoff said, "Whether they beat each other or not, that's their business. We outsiders won't meddle."

"That's true, so what exactly is this 'Civil War'?" Nick Fury furrowed his brows deeply, feeling a headache coming on. He had been troubled by the conflict between Cap and Iron Man, and now it seemed that the conflict hadn't been resolved, and there was another 'Civil War'! 'Civil War,' just hearing the name, you could tell that it must involve many heroes.

"What's so intense that it prevents a group of heroes from even communicating and drives them to violence?" Bruce Banner chimed in.

"Although I can't know the details of the 'Civil War,' we can still deduce an answer from the options," Stephen Strange said, "Look at the four options: Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes, everyone knows his relationship with Cap, and Sam Wilson, who fought alongside Cap when he thwarted Alexander Pierce's conspiracy, is Cap's staunch friend. I believe that no matter who Cap's opponent is in the Civil War, Winter Soldier and Sam will stand with Cap."

"In other words, among the four options, Cap, Bucky, and Sam are on the same side," Tony Stark said, "Either none of these three are enemies, or all three of them are."

"The options in this question are about who among the four you haven't fought against. Conversely, it means you've fought against three of them," Nick Fury touched Peter Parker's head again, "Unfortunately, you're enemies with Cap, Bucky, and Sam. You've fought against them."

"Why would I be enemies with Captain America?" Peter Parker scratched his head, "Captain America is a great hero! Am I some kind of villain in the future? But in the future, I'm Spider-Man, right? I always thought Spider-Man was also a hero."

This passage appears to be an excerpt from a novel or a story and revolves around a discussion among characters about the "Civil War" event and their perspectives on it. The characters express their thoughts on participating in dangerous experiments, the need for power in a chaotic world, and the complexities of the conflict between different heroes. It's likely related to the Marvel Universe and its characters.

"Exactly, you're a hero, kid. Didn't you see what the question said, 'Civil War'?" Steve Rogers said, "As for why we fought each other, I don't know that either, can't imagine it. Don't dwell on it, you'll know the answer sooner or later. What you need to do now is answer the question and get the reward."

"So, does that mean I'm Captain's enemy?" Natasha Romanoff shrugged, "I fought alongside Cap in the Insight conspiracy, just like Sam Wilson did. Why am I not standing with Cap, like Sam?"

"Natasha, it's just a probability," Nick Fury said, "It doesn't mean you'll definitely stand against Cap in the future. In fact, if we consider the possibility of you standing against Cap individually, I personally think it's unlikely. But in the current situation of choosing one out of four, it's either you, Bucky, or Sam. Compared to them, the probability of you standing against Cap is relatively higher."

"I choose option B!" Peter Parker made his choice.

[Correct answer! Reward granted!]

Crackling~

Immediately, electric currents flowed over Peter Parker's body, then disappeared.

"So, kid, can you use electricity now?" Steve Rogers asked.

"Yes, Captain." Peter Parker reached out, and a small lightning sparkled between his fingers.

"Pretty impressive," Bruce Banner walked over and said, "But kid, don't use this ability at school. If someone bullies you, you can defend yourself, but only with your fists, got it? Don't casually use your electric power, you understand?"

"I understand!" Peter Parker nodded vigorously, "I'll only use it when I'm fighting bad guys!"

"Even fighting bad guys is a no-go!" Tony Stark couldn't help but flick Peter Parker's head with his finger, "You're still young. Your only mission is to grow up. So, for you, there's no fighting bad guys. If you see a bad guy, run far away, hide well, got it?"

"But I'm Spider-Man." Peter Parker said.

"You're just a little kid for now." Tony Stark flicked him again.

At this moment, a light appeared in the space, and a video started playing.

At the beginning, a blue mini car slowly entered a parking lot. Just as everyone thought it was driven by a girl, the car door opened, and Steve Rogers, the muscular man, stepped out, followed by Sam Wilson.

There was also a bus in the parking lot. Clint Barton and Wanda Maximoff got off one after the other and joined Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson.

"You know I wouldn't call you unless I had no choice." Steve Rogers shook Clint Barton's hand and said to him.

"Hey, man, you're doing me a favor." Clint Barton shook Steve Rogers' hand back, "Besides, I owe you a debt."

"Thanks for standing by me." Steve Rogers also said to Wanda Maximoff who came over.

"It's time for me to get moving too." Wanda Maximoff tilted her head.

"What about the other newbie?" Steve Rogers asked.

"He's eager." Clint Barton turned around, opened the door of the bus behind him, "I gave him some coffee, he should be fine."

"What time zone is this?" Scott Lang jumped out from inside, went over and shook hands with Steve Rogers, "Captain America."

"Mr. Lang." Steve Rogers said.

"An honor, I've been shaking your hand for too long." Scott Lang was very excited, then turned to Wanda Maximoff, "This is amazing, it's Captain America. And you, I know you too, you're amazing."

"Oh my..." Scott Lang looked at Steve Rogers again, and even pinched him, "I know you know a lot of powerful people, so thank you for thinking of me."

"Hey, man." Scott Lang also greeted Sam Wilson who was standing aside.

"What's up?" Sam Wilson replied.

"Nice to meet you." Scott Lang paused, "Uh, about last time..."

"That was a great audition, but there won't be a next time." Sam Wilson smiled.

"Did they tell you what we're up against?" Steve Rogers asked Scott Lang.

"It seems like a few crazy assassins." Scott Lang said.

"Our operation this time isn't legal. If you come with us, you'll be a wanted criminal," Steve Rogers laid out the stakes.

"I'm used to it." Scott Lang shrugged it off.

"We should get going." Bucky Barnes reminded everyone.

"A helicopter is waiting for us." Clint Barton seemed confident.

At this point, a "beep-beep" sound was heard, followed by a string of chirps that sounded like German, but they couldn't understand what was being said.

"They're evacuating the airport." Bucky Barnes understood, and informed everyone.

"Stark." Sam Wilson said.

"Stark?" Scott Lang asked again, seemingly surprised.

"Change into your gear." Steve Rogers said.

After changing into his gear, Steve Rogers, wearing his iconic star-spangled uniform and holding his shield, ran toward a helicopter in the airport. However, as he approached, a palm-sized object was "clunked" onto the helicopter.

"What's this thing, I don't know, but there was an electric current flashing on the helicopter, and smoke rose in some places. It looks like it can't be used."

Steve Rogers raised his head and saw Tony Stark hovering in the air, with one hand extended. It was clear that he had just fired that thing.

In the next moment, Tony Stark and James Rhodes flew down together, landing next to Steve Rogers with a clank.

"You always run into familiar faces at the airport, it's really strange." Tony Stark turned to James Rhodes and asked, "Do you think it's strange?"

"It's really strange." James Rhodes replied.

"Listen, Tony, that psychiatrist, he's the mastermind behind this." Steve Rogers said.

At this moment, another figure jumped in, moving as lightly as a cat. He wore a Black Panther suit, unmistakably Black Panther.

"Captain."

"Your Highness."

The two greeted each other.

"Anyway, Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you guys in," Tony Stark said as he paced, "24 hours have passed, help a brother out."

"You've got the wrong person." Steve Rogers said.

"Your judgment is off!" Tony Stark retorted, "Your old comrade killed a lot of innocent people yesterday."

"And there are five more super soldiers like him. I can't let that doctor find them first, Tony." Steve Rogers said.

"Steve." Natasha Romanoff also appeared, "Do you know what's going to happen next? Are you going to fight your way out this time too?"

Steve Rogers didn't say anything, but his resolute expression indicated his attitude.

"Alright, I'm impatient." Tony Stark called out, "Underoos!"

As he spoke, a bunch of webbing suddenly shot onto Steve Rogers' shield. The next moment, the shield left Steve Rogers' hand, and his hands were bound together by webbing.

The Spider-Man in red and blue landed with a somersault, holding the shield and striking a pose.

"So Spider-Man really shoots webs?" Seeing this, Stephen Strange said, "It seems like the nicknames for everyone are well-deserved."

"No, I think your nickname is a bit off." Natasha Romanoff said, "Shouldn't we call you 'Sorcerer' instead of 'Doctor Strange'? 'Doctor Strange' doesn't even hint at what you can do."

"I am a doctor, so what's wrong with being called Doctor Strange?" Stephen Strange countered.

"Is that me in the future? Taking Captain America's shield in an instant, looks so impressive!" Peter Parker's eyes were already twinkling with stars, full of anticipation for his future.

"Well done, kid!" In the video, Tony Stark praised Peter Parker.

"Thanks, the landing didn't go too well, and the new suit takes some getting used to..." Peter Parker quickly added, "Wait, that's not important. Mr. Stark, the suit is perfect, thank you!"

"Yeah, let's not get chatty now." Tony Stark said.

"Okay." Peter Parker saluted Steve Rogers, "Captain, I'm Spider-Man, your biggest fan."

"Alright, we'll talk later." Tony Stark said helplessly.

"Hey, everyone." Peter Parker still greeted everyone.

"Good job." Tony Stark praised again.

"You've been busy." Steve Rogers said to Tony Stark.

"You're a complete fool!" Tony Stark turned his head, somewhat annoyed, "Dragging Clint into this, taking Wanda away from where she didn't want to leave, a safe place. I'm trying to prevent you from splitting the Avengers."

"You already split us when you signed." Steve Rogers said nonchalantly.

"Alright, fine." Tony Stark no longer wanted to engage in this useless argument, "Hand over Barnes, come with us. Do it now, or a detachment from the Joint Special Operations Command will come after you. They won't hold back. Please."

"We've located them." At this moment, Sam Wilson's voice came through Steve Rogers' earpiece, "Quinjet at North Runway, Hangar 5."

Steve Rogers immediately raised his hands, and an arrow fell from the sky, cutting the webbing between his hands.

"Move out, Lang." Steve Rogers commanded.

At this moment, Scott Lang shrank to the size of an ant and stood on Steve Rogers' shield.

"Everyone, what's going on..." Peter Parker also noticed something on the shield at this point, but before he could finish speaking, the ant-sized Scott Lang suddenly grew larger. In the process, he somersaulted backward, kicked Peter Parker, and at the same time, he took Steve Rogers' shield.

"What's happening?" James Rhodes was surprised. How did the other side suddenly have an extra person?

"This is yours, Captain America." Scott Lang walked up to Steve Rogers and handed him the shield.

"I'm pretty cool too!" Seeing this, the Scott Lang in the trivia space also got excited.

"It's pretty cool. I hope you won't end up massacring the Avengers in the future." Tony Stark said.

"Massacre the Avengers? Me?" Scott Lang pointed to himself, "I can just shrink and grow big, do I have that much ability?"

"After you catch up with your 'anime' watching, you'll know whether you do or not." Bruce Banner said, "Any ability, when taken to the extreme, is a formidable power."

"Now this is interesting." Tony Stark's faceplate immediately scanned the images of Bucky Barnes and the others, "There are two in the parking lot, one of them is Maximoff, I'll go after her. Rhodes, do you want to deal with Cap?" With that, his figure shot into the sky.

"There are two in the terminal, Wilson and Barnes." James Rhodes also took to the air.

"Barnes is mine!" Black Panther T'Challa heard James Rhodes and ran towards the terminal.

Bang!

At this moment, a sound was heard as Steve Rogers threw his shield, hitting James Rhodes in midair.

"Mr. Stark, what should I do?" Peter Parker didn't know what to do and quickly asked Tony Stark.

"Haven't we talked about this? Don't get too close, use your web to entangle them." Tony Stark said.

"Okay, got it!" Peter Parker immediately headed to the terminal. He used a web to hang from the smooth glass wall, moving hand over hand as he climbed.

"What's that thing?" Bucky Barnes was running alongside Sam Wilson when he saw Peter Parker suddenly appear overhead.

"Everybody's got their own tricks these days." Sam Wilson said.

Peter Parker took a few steps, then jumped and in mid-air extended his hand. Two strands of webbing stuck to the building, and he swung like a pendulum, crashing through the glass with a crash.

After landing, he kicked up, sending Sam Wilson flying.

Meanwhile, Bucky Barnes swung his metal arm, attempting to land a punch on Peter Parker but was caught by him.

"You've got a metal arm?" Peter Parker looked at Bucky Barnes' gleaming arm in astonishment. "That's so awesome!"

Bucky Barnes stared in surprise at the figure in the red and blue suit before him. He had been taken aback by the strength of this person, never expecting that he could effortlessly catch his punch.
