"Tony, congratulations on your wedding." Thor approached Tony Stark and thanked him, "I heard you got married. Heimdall saw it, but I couldn't come down; the Rainbow Bridge is not repaired yet."
"Thank you, Thor." Tony Stark hugged Thor, "How much longer until the Rainbow Bridge is repaired? Loki's arrival in New York is not far off."
"About two or three more months, I think. It should be in time," Thor replied.
"If we follow the 'spoilers' from the space for answers, then it should be in time," Bruce Banner said, "I just hope nothing unexpected happens."
"Bruce, you look so formal; I'm not used to it." Thor said to Bruce Banner, "On such a happy day, won't you let the Hulk come out for a drink?"
"I don't want to ruin Tony's wedding," Bruce Banner asked, "How is Malekith doing? Is the locator working well?"
"Malekith has been eliminated!" Thor looked excited, "The locator works very well. Although it wasn't perfect, it led us to them. Malekith is dead, and all the Dark Elves have been eliminated; they are no longer a threat."
"That's good news!" Steve Rogers walked up to Thor, saying, "The universe has one less threat, and we have escaped another disaster."
"But we can't relax; Malekith was just an 'appetizer'; there are many 'main courses' left," Stephen Strange said.
"Yes, we still have many enemies, and Malekith was probably the easiest one to deal with. But I believe that if we unite, we can defeat the others too," Steve Rogers turned to Stephen Strange, "Stephen, are you a sorcerer now?"
"I am still a doctor," Stephen Strange shrugged, "So far, I haven't come across the opportunity to become a sorcerer."
"Don't worry; that day will come," Bruce Banner said, "Now, isn't this a strange place? Why are we all casually chatting here? Just a moment ago, I was on the street, and suddenly, I'm here. Can anyone tell me what's going on?"
"I suddenly ended up here too! I was in the classroom, yawning, and suddenly found myself here. The guys over there seem to know what's going on. Can someone tell me?" Peter Parker approached the group, and his gaze fell on Tony Stark; he exclaimed, "Iron Man! Iron Man! Is he really Iron Man?"
"Shit!" Peter Parker blurted out, and Scott Lang also noticed Tony Stark, "He really is Iron Man! God! I actually met Iron Man!"
"Easy there, Underoos," Tony Stark asked Peter Parker, "First, tell me, who are you?"
"I am Peter Parker, from Queens," Peter Parker said.
"That's a good name; you look like superhero material," Stephen Strange looked amazed at Peter Parker, feeling strange that such a young child was here answering questions with them.
"A superhero?" Peter Parker looked confused, "Me?"
"Yes, you, but not the present you; it's your future self," Stephen Strange said.
"Will I become a superhero like Iron Man in the future?" Peter Parker became excited, but then looked a bit down, "It's impossible. I'm just a skinny kid; I hope I won't get bullied by the school's big guys. Can I become someone like Iron Man?"
"Kid, believe me, you can," Steve Rogers patted Peter Parker's shoulder, "I used to be even skinnier than you."
"Thank you for saying that; I'm happy to hear that." Peter Parker looked up at Steve Rogers, "I don't know if it's just my imagination, but you look like Captain America."
"Kid, it's not an imagination; the person in front of you is Captain America himself." Clint Barton smiled and said, "And he's not lying; he was really much skinnier before than you."
"Sorry, Captain America?" Scott Lang couldn't hold back and interrupted, "Didn't you sacrifice yourself?"
"Luckily, I survived," Steve Rogers said.
"And both Iron Man and Captain America are in this place. What is this place, exactly?" Scott Lang asked.
"This is the space for answers, a very magical place," Steve Rogers said, "First, I want to tell you that time is frozen here compared to the outside. When you go out, you will find that it's the same moment you entered, so, kid, you didn't skip or miss any classes; you can rest assured. Besides us, the people in this space for answers, no one else knows you came here."
"I didn't skip class?" Peter Parker breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good; I don't want to get scolded by my teacher."
"Is that your biggest worry after coming to this weird place?" Scott Lang said.
"Then, here you can see the future. You will be given questions to answer," Steve Rogers said.
"Like exams in school?" Peter Parker asked.
"It's much more interesting than school exams," Stephen Strange said, "The questions here are about the future. If you answer correctly, you will be rewarded; if you answer incorrectly, there will be consequences. The usual punishment is losing lifespan—one wrong answer equals one year of life lost, and it has been like this until now."
"What about if you answer correctly?" Scott Lang asked.
"The rewards are equally astonishing, like some special abilities or items..." At this point, Stephen Strange looked at Scott Lang, "By the way, you haven't introduced yourself yet."
"Scott Lang," Scott Lang said, giving his name.
"This name is quite ordinary compared to Peter Parker," Stephen Strange said, "Even if you become a superhero in the future, you will probably not be as impressive as Peter Parker."
"Do you have a problem with 'Scott' or 'Lang'?" Scott Lang said, "Peter Parker has the most ordinary name, right? And why do you think I'll be a less impressive superhero than that kid? You're completely wrong! I won't become any superhero; I'm just an ordinary person. I don't have money, no serum, just a very ordinary guy."
"Scott, you may appear ordinary now, but I have to tell you, no one brought into this space is ordinary," Steve Rogers said, "In the future, you will become a superhero."
[The Q&A session begins now. Prepare yourselves!]
The Q&A session started!
[First question: How did Iron Man Tony Stark die?]
[A) Died by snapping fingers]
[B) Died by yawning]
[C) Died by Thanos' blade]
[D) Died by Hela's sword]
[Correct answer rewards Mark 45 blueprint. Incorrect answer deducts one year of lifespan.]
"I will die in the future?" Tony Stark first looked puzzled, then calmly said, "Not surprising. With so many powerful enemies in the future, it's normal for my life to be cut short."
"Tony, you won't die," Steve Rogers said, "Now that we know about that future, it won't happen."
"Yes, Tony, that future won't happen," Bruce Banner said, "We won't allow it."
"I also believe that future won't happen. If it still happens with all this information, then I might as well be stupid." Tony Stark pointed to the options and said, "These options are strange again. A and B seem bizarre. Who would die by snapping fingers or yawning?"
"C and D, on the other hand, make more sense," Thor added. "Whether it's Thanos or Hela, both are extremely powerful and capable of killing Tony."
"Sir, are you suggesting we should choose option C?" Phil Coulson asked.
"I'm saying the possibility of option C is higher than option D," Nick Fury said.
"Wait, you don't seem to be ruling out A and B," Stephen Strange said, "Do you really think someone could die in such a ridiculous way?"
"Those two options do seem absurd when taken separately," Steve Rogers glanced at options A and B, "But in this question, would the questioner deliberately put two easily ruled-out options?"
"Who knows, maybe the questioner is just bored?" Clint Barton said, "Or maybe the questioner intentionally made it easier for Tony."
"Do you guys remember when I fired a piece of iron into Thanos' palm while fighting him with Stephen?" Tony Stark suddenly said.
"Of course, we remember," Natasha Romanoff said, "And up until now, we still don't know why you did that."
"I've always been puzzled." Tony Stark pointed at option A, "But when I saw this option, I had an idea. Could it be that my goal was to prevent Thanos from snapping his fingers?"
"Really? Are you discussing this?" Scott Lang couldn't help but interject, "I don't know who Thanos is, but he snaps his fingers during a fight? Why would he do that? Is he insane? Have you ever snapped your fingers, kid? Has your teacher taught you that snapping fingers can kill people?"
"I have a video of the previous Q&A sessions; you two newcomers can go watch it on the side," Tony Stark couldn't be bothered to explain further and took off his wristwatch, handing it over, "Thanos, Hela, etc., you will find your answers."
Everyone present, including Nick Fury and Phil Coulson, who were absent in the previous sessions, watched the video Tony Stark recorded after the Q&A session ended.
So the real "catch-up" was for the two newcomers, Scott Lang and Peter Parker.
"Does the watch have videos?" Scott Lang took the watch and tried to figure out how to play it. In the end, it was Peter Parker who managed to play it.
"Thanos snaps his fingers during a fight?" Nick Fury recalled the scene and said, "If it was to prevent that, then Tony firing the piece of iron into Thanos' palm does have a reasonable explanation. But why would he snap his fingers during a fight? What does that have to do with Tony? Why would Tony snap his fingers?"
"I still can't figure it out," Tony Stark said, "But through Thanos' snap, I came up with a thought. Could it be that this seemingly absurd way of death, snapping fingers, is actually possible? After all, snapping fingers has become an enemy's 'deadly move,' so why couldn't it be deadly for someone? We think it's absurd now because we have too little information."
"Tony, please don't tell me you're going to choose option A," Natasha Romanoff said, "I feel like dying by Thanos' blade makes more sense."
"Natasha, I'll choose option A. My instincts tell me I should pick A. If you insist on me giving an answer, then it's whims of fate," Tony Stark made his choice, "I choose A!"
[Correct answer! Reward distributed!]
A stack of blueprints appeared out of thin air on the ground.
"Creating something out of nothing? Materialization?" Scott Lang, who was watching the video with Peter Parker, was astonished to see something suddenly appear on the ground.
"The reward is indeed real..." Peter Parker's eyes widened, "So everything they said earlier is true?"
"So I really died by snapping my fingers!" Tony Stark snapped his fingers a few times and said, "I'm curious why snapping fingers causes death."
"Could it be related to the Infinity Gauntlet?" Bruce Banner speculated, "Normally, snapping fingers is just a gesture, but when Thanos wore the Infinity Gauntlet, snapping his fingers became a 'deadly move.' Maybe Tony also wore the Infinity Gauntlet when he snapped?"
"That's possible," Thor added, "The Infinity Gauntlet with the Infinity Stones is a top-tier artifact in the universe, not something anyone can casually wear. Thanos could handle it because of his formidable physique, but it's reasonable that Tony, being a human from Earth, couldn't bear the power of the Infinity Gauntlet."
"I wore Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet?" Tony Stark said, "Did I manage to take it away from Thanos? Can I do that when Thanos is so powerful?"
"Perhaps it's not Thanos' Gauntlet but Asgard's Gauntlet," Stephen Strange speculated, "To deal with Thanos, Thor brought the Gauntlet from Asgard."
"If it's just the Gauntlet, it's useless, right?" Steve Rogers said, "The Infinity Gauntlet should have the Infinity Stones installed to work."
"We can also get the Infinity Stones!" Clint Barton said, "The Gauntlet on Thanos had only four stones, not all of them. Even if he obtained the one from Doctor Strange, he still didn't have them all. Maybe we put the rest of the stones on Thor's Gauntlet?"
"But wasn't the last stone on Vision's forehead?" Nick Fury said, "If we really put it on the Gauntlet, does that mean Vision sacrificed himself?"
"Even someone as powerful as Vision can sacrifice...," Phil Coulson said, "The future is really bleak."
"In the future, we already had so many strong individuals, but we still chose to use the Infinity Gauntlet against Thanos. It shows that the Gauntlet, with the Infinity Stones, becomes an extremely powerful weapon," Stephen Strange suddenly said, "Now that we have the Gauntlet here, can't we start looking for the Infinity Stones in advance to put on it?"
"That's too risky," Steve Rogers shook his head, "We know that Thanos is also searching for the Infinity Stones. Who knows if doing that will end up helping Thanos."
"Yeah, it's too risky. We could end up serving Thanos if things go wrong," Bruce Banner said, "If it were up to me, I'd rather destroy the stones to prevent Thanos from getting them!"
At this moment, light appeared in the space, and the video started playing.
The scene began with a pile of ruins, and in the midst of the wreckage lay an Infinity Gauntlet brimming with Infinity Stones.
Tony Stark pushed an alien corpse aside and turned around to see the Gauntlet. He hurriedly rushed toward it, wanting to grab the Gauntlet. Unfortunately, Thanos was also nearby and charging towards the Gauntlet.
As Thanos' fingers were about to touch the Infinity Gauntlet, Tony Stark lunged forward and pushed Thanos aside.
Bang!
Thanos swung a punch and sent Tony Stark flying, crashing heavily to the ground.
After dealing with one nuisance, Thanos reached out again to grab the Infinity Gauntlet, but another nuisance fell from the sky.
This person had a long beard, a red cloak, a stormbreaker in one hand, and a Mjölnir in the other. Who else could it be if not the charming God of Thunder, Thor?
Thor's massive axe swung towards Thanos' chest, but Thanos blocked it with one hand, adding the hammer to the mix, trying to force the axe into Thanos' chest. But Thanos' hand stood firm like a mountain, and the axe couldn't move an inch.
"Ah!!" Thor let out a low roar, and lightning flowed from his eyes, making him look incredibly powerful.
However, it was all useless. He still couldn't do anything to Thanos, and the axe couldn't break through Thanos' single hand.
At this moment, Steve Rogers suddenly jumped over and landed on Thanos' back. He extended his arm from the back of Thanos' neck, grabbed the axe, and forcefully pulled it towards Thanos' chest, performing a "full nelson" on him.
Thor and Steve Rogers, the two muscle-bound men, attacked Thanos from both sides, but it still had no effect. Thanos effortlessly knocked them both down.
Then, as Thanos rolled to Steve Rogers' side, he threw a punch at his head with a loud "bang," and Steve Rogers closed his eyes.
One after another, the three leaders of the Avengers were defeated. Thanos successfully picked up the Infinity Gauntlet, but before he could put it on, a woman with short hair emitting a radiant glow descended from the sky and brought Thanos to his knees in an instant.
Undoubtedly, this shining woman was Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers.
Bang, bang, bang!
As soon as Carol Danvers appeared, she delivered a series of punches to Thanos, almost hitting him in the face with each punch.
Thanos was a bit ugly, but he was genuinely tall. Except for Bruce Banner's transformation into the Hulk, the rest of them were much shorter than Thanos. However, Carol Danvers could still hit him on the head with her fists, and some of the punches were even from top to bottom.
The reason she could do this wasn't that Carol Danvers had long arms, but because she could fly and fought with Thanos in mid-air.
After a few punches, Carol Danvers reached out to grab the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos, but Thanos caught her wrist and threw her away.
Then, Thanos put on the Gauntlet.
At the moment he put it on, multicolored lightning-like energy beams emanated from the Gauntlet, ravaging his body. He screamed in pain, showing that the Infinity Gauntlet wasn't something one could wear casually.
After wearing it, Thanos brought his thumb and middle finger together, ready to snap his fingers.
However, in a flash of light, Carol Danvers flew back and grabbed Thanos' two fingers, preventing the snap.
Carol Danvers held onto the Gauntlet, intending to take it off Thanos' hand. Thanos struggled with all his might but couldn't shake her off. He had no choice but to remove the Power Stone and use its power to punch Carol Danvers away.
"Who is this woman? She's so powerful!" When Captain Marvel made her move, everyone was astounded. Clint Barton's face was filled with shock, "She can actually take on Thanos head-on!"
"Thanos needs the Power Stone to fend her off!" Thor's voice was filled with astonishment, "She's definitely a super powerful individual."
"Indeed, incredibly powerful." Natasha Romanoff also marveled, "I never thought we had such a formidable teammate."
"She's our top fighting power here." Tony Stark exclaimed loudly, "We must find her, we absolutely must!"
"Director Fury, don't you think it's time to introduce your old friend to everyone?" Phil Coulson spoke softly at this moment.
As soon as he said that, everyone's gaze fell on Nick Fury. They never expected that this seemingly ordinary head of S.H.I.E.L.D would know such a super powerful person.
