Chapter 94: The Origin of Enhanced Individuals

After watching the video, everyone suddenly realized why Thor said "The sun's going down" during his battle with Hulk on that alien gladiator arena. It turned out he learned it from Black Widow.

But the ending was a bit ironic. Black Widow succeeded in bringing Bruce back, while Thor contributed to one of the most iconic moments in the entire Marvel universe.

"Thor, I wonder what you were thinking at that time, actually learning from Romanoff," Tony Stark couldn't help but mock. "Romanoff can do it because she has a connection with Banner. What about you? Do you have something similar with Dr. Banner?"

"Stark, don't be so sarcastic," Thor snorted, unwilling to back down. "There was no other way to calm down the Hulk except saying 'the sun's going down.' If you were in my place, wouldn't you give it a try?"

"I definitely wouldn't," Tony Stark denied firmly.

"You wouldn't say 'the sun's going down' to the Hulk, but you might say 'punch my chest with your tiny fist' in the future!" Thor couldn't help but imagine that scene, and the frustration he felt was instantly swept away. "To be honest, I'm looking forward to it."

"Alright, you two, remember that Dr. Banner is still here," Steve Rogers said with some exasperation.

"Fine, let's analyze the video then," Tony Stark shrugged. "Personally, I don't think there's much to analyze about Dr. Banner's part. As you all saw, it's exactly as I said before. He fell in love with Natasha Romanoff, and that's what made him calm down."

"Stark, your statement is a bit hasty," Bruce Banner shook his head. "That doesn't prove that Natasha Romanoff and I have that kind of relationship."

"Dr. Banner, there's nothing to deny about it," Tony Stark said seriously. "There's definitely something between Natasha Romanoff and you. Haven't you noticed the electric chemistry between you two when you were playfully touching each other in the small forest? And the faint smile on Natasha Romanoff's face when you hid behind the small tree. There's definitely something between you two."

"Dr. Banner, perhaps you closed off your heart after Betty," Thor, the straight guy who claimed he wouldn't fall in love with Earth girls, spoke up. "But Natasha Romanoff appeared, and you can open your heart again. She is suitable for you in every aspect."

"Guys, I know Natasha, I just don't have feelings for her," Bruce Banner shrugged. "Maybe I will in the future, but right now, I really don't feel anything. So let's not make up stories about us." With that, Bruce Banner turned to give Tony Stark a glance. "And besides, I have Stark now. I don't think I need Natasha Romanoff anymore."

"Hey! Dr. Banner!" Tony Stark was speechless. "Please clarify that you don't need me, but you need the bracelet on my hand!"

"No, Stark, what Dr. Banner needs is you!" Thor mercilessly corrected him. "He needs you to watch over him 24/7, to be there for him at the first sign of something unusual, and to shout at him while wearing the bracelet he gave you. You see, Dr. Banner still needs you. The bracelet is just an accessory."

"Alright, have you two had enough fun? Should I give each of you a punch to wake you up?" Bruce Banner felt extremely speechless. Initially, he was excited to meet these two superheroes, Iron Man and Thor, but now he realized they were both unreliable in their own ways.

"This video reveals a new concept: enhanced individuals," Steve Rogers, meeting Bruce Banner's expectations of being composed, said. "We don't know how they were enhanced, but when we attacked the Strucker base and fought against them, it's safe to assume that they are associated with Strucker."

"And Strucker is affiliated with Hydra. Could they also be Hydra agents?" Bruce Banner's expression turned grave.

"They probably aren't Hydra agents," Tony Stark pondered and denied the idea. "Based on our previous speculations, they simply have a grudge against me, which is why they cooperate with my enemies."

"You sure know how to get yourself into trouble," Bruce Banner remarked. "People like the Scarlet Witch, ordinary folks wouldn't even know where to find them, but you managed to offend two of them."

"Not only are super soldiers and enhanced individuals unexpected high-end combat forces, but even their influence is far beyond our imagination," Bruce Banner said in a deep voice. "Remember what Stark's artificial intelligence, J.A.R.V.I.S., said in the video: 'Strucker's facilities are more advanced than any Hydra base we've previously destroyed.' This implies that Hydra has more than one base."

"I really don't understand how Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., handles things," Tony Stark recalled Nick Fury's confident statement about Hydra being completely eliminated. Now it seemed that not only were they not eliminated, but S.H.I.E.L.D. was also being played by Hydra. Hydra is probably stronger than ever.

"Guys, do you think these two enhanced individuals have anything to do with the Mind Stone?" Thor suddenly came up with this thought.

"Why do you say that?" Steve Rogers asked.

"You mentioned in the video that they were so advanced because of the scepter..." Tony Stark also caught on. "Thor, are you saying that the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were also enhanced using the scepter?"

"That's very likely," Bruce Banner affirmed the speculation. "Since Captain's emergence, countless people have tried to replicate the Super Soldier Serum, but after all these years, there's still only one Captain. It shows how difficult it is to enhance the human body. The enhancement effects of the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are even more challenging than Captain's. If it weren't for the existence of the scepter, an artifact that transcends time, it's hard to imagine how they could have achieved it."
