As I got closer I felt a light push I turn my head and saw it was Miranda using biotics. She gave me look that asked if I needed back up I just shook my head no and kept moving. Volts of electricity were sporadically firing off in various different directions as two continued to their fight. I could and should try to talk them down to seek a peaceful resolution like a typical hero but I'm not going to try. Heroes always try that and it never usually works baring a few exceptions to the rule. Rather than waste my breath trying to do a talk no jutsu I used the Force to slam them both with debris.
The two were slammed against a wall I didn't run toward them instead I continued calmly walking. I didn't wait to see if they were okay I just lifted them off the ground with the Force and continued again and again. Just as about to do it yet again a web caught my arm.
Spider-Man: What are you doing they're clearly already down!
"I thought it was obvious I was going to pummel them until the very idea of fighting against me became anathema to them"
Spider-woman: This was excessive they were already neutralized
Spider-Man: Exactly! You were crossing the line someone could have died
Silk: I wouldn't feel too bad for them in case you haven't noticed it there were about seven dead from what I could see from here there are likely more elsewhere
Ghost Spider (Spider-Gwen): That doesn't even count the number of people injured from their brawl
Spider-Man (Miles): Spider-Man is right he should have stopped when the fight was over. He didn't need to go so far I'm not sure he would have stopped if we hadn't stopped him.
"We? What is this we stuff? Only one of you stopped me and only because I allowed it. If I wanted it they would already be dead.
Technically I'm not lying psychic abilities are OP bullshit combined with the Force and they weren't ever really threat. Unless I was caught off guard there was very little chance that they could have harmed me. Peter was more than a little appalled by my blanton disregard for electric villains. His ideals are more aligned with the Justice league than the Avengers. Which is why I found it funny that hadn't joined them as essentially he is a super powered version of batman just with less detective mindset and brooding. Between the two there was a lot of overlap but that was it.
The police finally arrived while the spider family was bickering about what to do and how to handle this. They tried to arrest the two super villains but I stopped them this of course annoyed Peter and he got in my face. Felicia then stepped out and pushed Peter back away from me. Peter as well as the whole spider family were completely shocked as they all knew her well.
Felicia: Back off spider Julian is waiting for Shield agents to pick them up instead
Spider-Man: Felic... I mean Black Cat how are you involved with him
Felicia: I was one of his dates this evening but I fail to see how this is your concern
Before Peter could continue protesting me or inquiring about my relationship with Felicia Black widow showed up. Following closely behind were Shield Agents who immediately moved past to collect the defeated foes.
Black Widow: These agents will secure the prisoners and transport them to a Shield facility where they will be detained. Spider-Man I'm going to need you to stand down you may not like his methods but he is on our side.
Spider-Man: But...
Black Widow: No buts I'm telling you to stand down.
There was a stretch of silence both sides waiting for the other to back down but eventually Peter reluctantly backed off. As much as he didn't want to he knew that he had no choice and had to listen to Natasha. Natasha said nothing as how I handled things before but I could tell that she didn't like being at odds with Peter. She couldn't afford to reprimand me especially infront of Peter as it might embolden him to take action later should he feel like I am crossing some proverbial line. The spider family went to help the rescue workers and victims caught up in the fight while I stayed behind with Natasha.
"I know that you didn't like being at odds with him as he is bright and innocent in your eyes. I am sorry for putting in such a predicament but I will not apologize for my actions although I doubt you expected to do so"
Natasha: So you noticed? I didn't expect that and you haven't tried to dig around my mind to figure it out. I suppose I underestimated you to a degree but I shouldn't be surprised you're constantly defying logic. Every time I try to evaluate you it's like you're a different person.
