Dance of Shadows and Blood      

Xin felt a soft, chilling sensation on his neck as the Bloodcountess's fangs sank into his skin. 

The vampire's saliva carried a potent poison that swiftly paralyzed him, causing his body to grow heavy and his eyelids to droop until he succumbed to a deep, unnatural slumber.

At that moment, he was defenseless, his life hanging by a thread. If not for Midnight Duchess's swift intervention, Xin would have been drained of his last bit of vitality.

"Get away from him, you mosquito!" Midnight Duchess snapped, her voice echoing through the chamber. With unparalleled speed, she unleashed a barrage of strikes in the vampire's direction, her weapon slicing through the air like a deadly dance. 

The Bloodcountess withdrew her fangs from Xin's neck, leaving behind a trickle of crimson, and she licked the blood from her lips with a sinister smile.
