Chapter 17

(1st POV)

"Well, finally the lunch is done, bear meat steak with fish nuggets. Let's wait for them to wake up." When I was pondering what to do next, Robin came inside the kitchen and told me, "The girl is awake."

So, with Robin, I went to the girl's room to inquire about some things. So, when we reached her room, I knocked on the door and took permission to enter the room. When I entered the room, I saw a purple-haired dark-skinned beauty, with cute violet eyes, nearly my age sitting there. So, we went towards her and sat down on the chair, and asked some questions.

"So, where to start, hm, let's see my name is Jacob Daniel, I am the captain here and this is."

"My name is Noel Rosalin, I am the archeologist on the ship." Robin said the lie with a smile on her face, let's go with this name only.

"Now, I want to ask 'Who are you and why are you in this condition, also that guy with you, is he your brother?" I asked her all these questions slowly. Seeing that she has no other option, she spilled the beans.

"Well, yes he is my brother. Now for my name, it's Carton D. Miya and my brother's name is Carton D. Michael. As for what happened, I and my brother were going to the nearest marine division to be Marines. But on our way, we were attacked by a marine patrol ship, we tried to convince them that we want to join them and are not criminals, but they relentlessly attacked us. So, with my and my brother's combined effort, we killed all the marines on the ship and escaped. Unfortunately, our supplies ran out three days ago, and on our way, we were attacked by two pirate crews, so it was difficult for us." As soon as she finished, we noticed teardrops rolling drop down her face. Robin went and hugged her to comfort her. I decided to leave the scene to give the ladies some time.

So, two of them are one of the D clan members. I guess, they should be recruited. Still, it's shocking, to find two D clan members out in the sea. Well, it's time for regular patrol using elemental sight and haki. When I used my sight I caught a movement in the guy, Micheal's room. So, I went to his room to check on him, when I entered his room, I saw a guy my age, with purple hair, dark skin, and piercing violet eyes staring towards the sea from the window with an empty gaze.

Moving to the chair near the bed, I sat down which got his attention, and said, "How are you doing, Michael, my name is Jacob Daniel."

(Micheal POV)

Ugh, ah, when I woke up I saw an unfamiliar ceiling, "Ugh, where am I and where is Miya?" asking this myself, the events which transpired came to my mind. Hah, so I was caught along with my sister. That guy was way too strong for someone my age, and most frustrating was, he was fu*king playing with me. And he beat me without going all out. Well, even if I got that strange power at last and managed to land a hit, he still tanked it. Now, I know that I can't win head-on against him, so I have to make a sneak attack on him and run away from this ship with my sister, in one way or another, I will save my sister.

While I was planning my escape, I saw a guy with blazing red hair and red eyes of my age and sat down on the chair near the bed and said,

"How are you doing Michael, my name is Jacob Daniel." I got caught off guard when he said my name, but then I raised my guard to the maximum, but then he said, "Don't need to be on the edge, I talked with your sister, and I just want to talk to you."

Like hell, I want to talk to this guy. But, I guess I will talk to him as he can easily end my life."

(1st POV)

"So, Michael I want to ask how are you this strong, while in west blue?"

"Well, you bas*ard, I want to ask you the same."

"Wow man, calm down and please call me Daniel or Dan as you wish." This guy is too much on guard. Well, he will lower his guard slowly, but let's make small talk for now.

"Well, so I heard from your sister about your circumstance, but I want to hear the exact details, like your past and all the things, like how you got this strong, your ambition and all." I decided it was the best course of action to let some weight off his shoulder by listening to his burdens and past.

"Huh! Why do you want to know that, so that you can sell my sister and me to slave traders or something, huh, say you son of a b*tch." Ok, he's gone and done it now.

"You fu*king bi*ch, motherfuc*er, bast*rd, do you think you are some hot shot, huh, I am here asking you in a polite tone, but you cursing like a sailor, you f*cktard listen what I have to say, ok." I said while releasing a small amount of Haki and my intent on him.

This was enough to calm him down And listen to my piece.

"So, well, I am sorry, well all of the pent-up frustration within me was making me do all this." He said to which I replied "No problem."

"So, where should I start? I guess my village, I with my sister live in a small village named Lante. Well, we used to live with a kind but strict grandpa there as we were orphans. His name was Hyperion D. Marx. He was so strong that, whenever any pirate attacked our village he will clean them. I and my sister admired him. So, when we became ten years old, we bugged him to train us. Well at first he denied but after a week of begging, he finally gave in. And so started the boot camp from hell, he trained us to the fullest, to bring out the maximum of our potential. Slowly and steadily, we grew stronger. Then when the time came, I choose a sword as my weapon and my sister decided on a sniper rifle. Time passed by and soon we turned seventeen, that was three months ago, during our training period, we killed beasts, pirates, thugs, and sea kings to gain experience. When our grandpa said that he was satisfied with our progress, he gave us his approval to go to the outside world and gain new friends and experiences. So, we sailed towards the nearest marine base, to be enrolled, but you know what happened after that." After finishing his part, it felt like he became light as some weight is lifted off his shoulder.

"Well, you have been through a lot, so you should rest for the time being. Now come with me and have lunch." Saying this I went outside and beckoned him to follow me. When we reached the dining table, I saw Robin and Miya chatting about some girls' stuff. I with Michael in tow went to them and asked whether they want to have lunch now.
