Nidavellir is a special planet consisting of a central star core and an outer metal ring structure, resembling a Dyson sphere.
The central star core, amplified by energy concentrators, can provide temperatures in the trillions of degrees. Even the highly resistant special metal like Uru is capable of melting under such high temperatures.
The clever dwarves have built Nidavellir, their unique home, using their own intelligence. This allows them, despite their inability to use magic, to be the only race in the universe with knowledge of forging Uru metal.
When Mark and his group arrived in Nidavellir through the Bifröst, they first arrived on the outermost ring of the planet. This ring is furthest from the central heat source, providing a more suitable environment for living, resting, and entertainment for the dwarves after their forging work.
Dwarf King Eitri, whom Mark and the others sought, typically resides in the innermost ring. Here, he forges the powerful artifacts required by Asgard and continuously hones his own forging skills.
Even under temperatures reaching hundreds of degrees Celsius, Eitri continually shapes and molds the metal through hammering while carefully engraving intricate runic magic symbols. Throughout Nidavellir, only Eitri possesses such skill.
With a body forged through countless trials and an indomitable will, Eitri can ignore the surrounding environmental disturbances. His mastery of the craft enables him to create weapons that are not only perfect works of art but also highly sought after by any courageous warrior in the universe.
This is why Eitri ascended to the throne in the entire Dwarf Kingdom. Only with such extraordinary forging skills can weapons capable of harnessing the power of mighty beings be created.
Knowing Eitri's location, Thor and the others suggested taking a break and waiting for the arrival of the Dwarf King. They didn't believe that Mark, a Midgardian, could withstand the average temperature of a few hundred degrees within the inner ring.
In fact, they themselves felt uncertain and apprehensive about enduring such high temperatures.
However, Mark insisted on going personally to pay his respects to the master forger. Setting aside the fact that they were seeking his assistance, it was a matter of proper etiquette to meet him in person.
Moreover, Mark's own limit of being able to withstand temperatures up to 3000 degrees Celsius, while far below the several billion degrees of the star core's maximum temperature, was still sufficient to handle temperatures in the hundreds.
There was no other choice. The few individuals entrusted with protecting Mark and the Aether could only reluctantly accompany him, despite their concerns.
The closer they got to the center, the more Thor and the others felt the scorching heat in the air. Every breath felt like a tearing sensation as if a steel brush was scraping through their respiratory tract.
Thor himself had superior physical qualities and abundant magical power, so he managed relatively easily with both factors combined.
However, the Warriors Three and Sif found it more challenging. Firstly, their physical strength was not as exceptional as Thor's, and they lacked exceptional magical talents. Their magical energy quickly depleted, forcing them to rely solely on their willpower to keep moving forward.
Secondly, there was the psychological pressure. They were well aware of Thor's strength, so seeing him relatively at ease was within their expectations. However, looking at Mark, who was leading the way and appeared even more relaxed than Thor, they truly felt the pressure brought upon them by their hanging reputation.
If a mortal like Mark from Midgard could endure, if these "gods" of Asgard fall first, wouldn't they be a laughingstock?
Nevertheless, for the glory of Asgard, the four of them could only grit their teeth and continue towards the innermost ring.
The good news was that they were nearing their destination, and the temperature increase would soon reach its peak. Although the Warriors Three and Sif were already extremely uncomfortable, they should be able to reach Dwarf King Eitri before the temperature exceeded their endurance limits.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The closer they got to their destination, the clearer the sound of metal hammering became. After passing through the final connection point, Mark and the others finally saw their intended target—Master Forger Eitri—From whom they require help for this mission.
Eitri swung his large hammer, continuously pounding the Uru metal on the forge table that had already undergone thousands of foldings and compressions. He spoke to the group while working, "Apologies for keeping the honored guests waiting.
When His Majesty Odin informed me of this matter, I had already begun forging this weapon. Based on our dwarven principles, I cannot interrupt my work until the forging is complete. I sincerely apologize."
As they looked at the bearded craftsman standing there, who was over five meters tall and showed no resemblance to the word "dwarf," Mark and the others felt like a group of ten-year-old children standing beside him.
However, Mark did not display any arrogance due to the polite nature of the craftsman. He responded with great respect, saying, "We are the ones causing the disturbance. I believe only a craftsman like yourself, who adheres to principles and meticulousness, can meet the requirement for high precision..."
