Nika left the lecture hall after filling up the papers required to ensure the other involved parties went through with their word and working out the specifics about the mission with Jon and Ethan. Uriel followed after her with the intention to scold her for being reckless and landing them on a tough spot, but as soon as they were at a distance she was the first one to speak.
"I'm sorry I did things this way, but it was the only thing I could think of that would keep their suspicions at bay and allow us to get an equal share."
"I don't care about you saying I'm your employee, you could have said we're partners but whatever. What bothers me is you stirring things up with the army. Do you not know how dangerous it is to be on their crosshairs?"
"You don't get it, do you?"
"Huh?" Uriel was taken aback by her question and couldn't formulate a proper answer.
