The Orc leaders were still surprised by the salvo of arrows that had been shot at the Orc soldiers, They hadn’t even had time to prepare a command before the second round landed, killing many Orcs who were still climbing up the walls.
Witnessing the deaths of their companions, the remaining Orcs decided to proceed with caution as the Tier 7 Orcs ordered them to raise their shields that was strapped to their backs in defense against any more arrows.
However, no more arrows were launched after the second round.
Despite the absence of arrows, the Orcs continued to climb cautiously, shielded as best they could.
Their climbing speed dropped considerably, but they persisted with their shields up, with the fear that another round would just fall next.
What the Orcs failed to realize was that the guards had stopped shooting arrows not because they were reloading, but because the commanding guard had sent a group of guards to collect rocks strewn near the gates.
