Who got taken away?

"Where is Mr. Marino?" Elliana asked the first thing she reached inside the Black Skull palace.

"Sir has gone for a meeting, madam," The maid immediately stepped ahead and bowed to their princess.

Elliana looked around, feeling particularly anxious.

Something wasn't right.

Why was her heart beating like this? Her intuition was telling her something was wrong. Elliana pressed her lips into a thin line before she closed her eyes to locate Sebastian.

However, there was no trace of him anywhere.

Was it because his barrier was up? She didn't have much idea about the kind of connection between the marked couples, and thus, she didn't know if it was alarming or not.

"Do you know where he has gone? I want to meet him urgently," Elliana asked, looking around helplessly before she pulled out her phone and called Sebastian.
