"Basti, is your mom here?" a boy asked quietly, watching all the parents coming inside their classroom. "Is that your mom?"
Sebastian turned his head to look at the door. "No."
"Oh. I thought she was your mom."
"Do you think my mom is that old?"
"Huh?" the boy looked at Sebastian, confused. "But she didn't look old. If anything, I think she was very young."
Sebastian looked at the lady once again, watching her sit in the parent's seat at the back of the classroom. This classmate of his was already wearing eyeglasses, but how could he not see that the lady they were talking about was quite old?
Or was it because his mother was actually very young?
'But don't adults get married in their early 20s?' wondered Sebastian, but then his face turned sour. 'Uncle Axel isn't married yet, despite being the same age as my mommy because no one wants him.'
