Arianna/Thea

I found myself in a spacious room filled with an array of exquisite gowns and garments, hanging delicately from hooks and cascading down the walls.

There were already people present in the room, gowns were flying, things were floating in the air.

As soon as we entered, almost everyone turned towards us, all of their attention on the witch who was leading us.

"Elenor!" a wizard called walking towards the witch. After they talked about something, he went on about his work.

Then she rushed towards the witch who had several garments floating besides her, with a checklist in her hands.

There was chaos everywhere.

"you are the apprentice of the great witch Artemis, right?" a curious voice asked from beside me, when I turned, I found myself facing the tallest guy I have ever met. He was lanky with all bones.

His eyes had an exited glint.

I nodded.

His face lit up, as he stared at me like I was somekind of goddess or something.

That is when I noticed all the others staring at me. Some of them blatantly whispering while staring at me.

I was used to it though.

As a princess it is one of the things we have to get used to.

"i am Cyril," the tall guy extended his hand towards me with a smile.

"Thea," I said shaking it. Unlike the others he is the only one who looks genuine and it is also a quality you have to develop when you are born as a princess. To be able to recognize your friends and most importantly enemies.

There will be almost no friends, but sometimes, on rare occasions you might stumble upon someone who will be loyal to you.

And I am forever grateful that I found Cassie at a very young age.

"Do you know why we are here?" I asked Cyril. He looks promising enough for me to try to be friendly with him.

And in the place full of my enemies, it will be good to find some good friends who I can trust.

I don't know why but in that instant kalo came to my mind, and a smile touched my lips.

I don't think I can call kalo my friend, but he did try to save me from a nonexistent threat.

"We are here because we are pretty." he said, making me stare at him with a frown.

"We will dress prettily and merge with the guests in the party to be able to keep an eye on anyone who tries to harm the royal family in any way."

He explained.

Now that I know about it. He is right.

Everyone in the room is pretty.

I guess that is the reason for the reaction of Elenor when she saw me earlier.

I don't think it is a good thing for me to be in a party full of the people who will have me executed once they find my identity.
