Seollal

Hyun had taken a deep breath. It wasn't his first time out of the base, so he knew what to do. Buy a ticket, food, clothes, everything was there because soldiers usually did it before coming home. 

When he took the train back to Seoul, he took a bit of a nap in Seoul. He waited for his brother, and then they headed back to their grandparents. 

Everyone was already there, everyone in his family was coordinating their holidays according to his and Hwa's holidays because it was far harder to get a holiday in the military than at work.

"Ooooh, you have gained weight, and you have lost weight…" his granny welcomed them, crying and patting their backs. They were laughing, but their eyes welled with tears, too. It's been so long since Hyun saw his family. And he missed them so much. He saw them briefly at the military ceremony after arriving from Hong Kong, but that was it since then. He hadn't seen Hwa either.
