A book, library and two guests

Sire peeked through the little space she made on opening the door The hall way seemed empty and Vivian had been gone so long she was getting bored with sitting and doing nothing.

Passing through the closed the door, Sire quietly closed it. She let her eyes take in her surroundings before she made her way towards the direction she'd come. She really had quite a retentive memory so she quite remembered the way.

After walking a little, the girl came across a maid. The girl was dusting the portraits in the hall way before the corner of her eyes caught movement. Turning the saw Sire. The ladies new guest. Sire then noted it was Katherine. The maid Benjamin had been scolding when she arrived the mansion earlier that day.

"Good day milady. Seems like you're a guest here. Are you lost? Perhaps i can help you find your way." The maid spoke kindly and Sire relaxed a little.

"We~well,i was actually looking for the garden." She said. Sire figured that if she'd said the truth about her going about then the maid would have probably thought her weird.

"Oh the garden? Well that isn't far at all. Let me take you there." The maid requested. She dropped her duster and cleaned her hands. "Right this way." She suggested, leading Sire the opposite direction in the hall way.

Sire followed quietly behind the maid. They took a few turns and twists then went down a few stairs before coming out back. They walked a little more down the corridor.

"How much longer?." Sire asked the maid.

"Not too long. Its by the library." Her eyes immediatley went wide.

"You have a library down here too?."

"Why yes of course milady. Here in the Silvester mansion the garden isn't far and the library is so you can read books and have a refreshing time during your stay there." Katherine, the maid replied.

"Can you please take me there?." Sire asked.

"If you wish to visit the library then so be it milady." With this, the maid led Sire to the library. On reaching there she turned and left. Making sure Sire agreed to call if help was needed.

As Sire entered the library she couldn't help but gape at the place. With tall shelves and an appropriately large space. So far this was the biggest library she'd been to since she came around. Probably the first. Sire smiled as she went to check the books out. She walked to one of the shelves. Trailing her fingers on the spines of the books she smiled even wider. One of the books catching her attention. Sire pulled out the book from the space. It was a book with a hard red cover. 'Angel' was boldly written on it with golden letters. She searched for an author but there was nothing. Sire then opened the book. She began reading and for some reason she was so caught up in the book she felt glued to the spot. Not moving and holding the book close to her face. The book seemed old and spoke of angel's and how they came to exist. The tales did rhyme to those she heard at home.

There was a little noise, causing her to look up from her book. She wasn't sure what made the noise but now she was compelled to go ahead and read in the garden. Katherine had indeed said it was more refreshing there. Making this decision, the girl kept reading. Turning and heading for the door which was left wide open and only closed in the evening by Benjamin.

She walked slowly and took her time so even while walking she didn't distract herself from what she found so interesting and was reading. Sire took a few steps out of the library door and a few more. Her eyes still glued as she turned the pages. Little did she know that just a few steps forward and her head would crash into a pillar.

Philip slowly placed the saucer which contained his teacup on the surface of the table. He set his lips to a thin line as he turned to Benjamin who just came back from his errand. He bowed and said,

"Lady Vivian should be here any time from n~."

"Vivi at your service!!." There was a childish yell as Vivian barged in.

Philip let his grey eyes sweep lazily across the room to settle on Vivian. He sat straight and bore his eyes into hers until she shifted her gaze.

Vivian made way to where Philip was seated. "Phil, what brings you here?." She asked settling on the seat across the table.

"Good day lady Vivian." He bowed slightly then looked back up and directly at her. "Do you intend to say I'm not welcome here in your home?." He asked her. Vivian's eyes grew wide and she shook her head. "Why wouldn't you be? That's not what i meant at all."

He tilted his head. "Then what exactly ~."

"I mean you ought to be at work don't you?." Vivian smiled awkwardly. Trying her best to look away from the man. She picked up the other tea cup and took a sip only to spill it. "Benji! Why didn't ypu tell me the tea was hot?!." She asked the butler.

"The tea isn't hot. Perharps it is your uneasiness milady." Philip spoke directly. Vivian felt the blood rush to her cheeks. She bowed her head and clutched her dress.

The man in the room sitting across her was Philip Leveson. He was her partner in the department at work and he had probably come over to talk business. Philip was quite a quiet and strange man if you asked Vivian. His presence did infact make her feel uneasy despite how long they'd worked together. He was two years older since she was just nineteen.

"Perhaps my tounge is fragile. I mean ladies are fragile." She murmured. Unbeknownst to her that the man had heard.

"Ladies are indeed fragile but not you milady. You stated that yourself." Philip said and Vivian already felt full with his presence. There was a little silence. "Lady Vivian i~."

"Phil i~."

Both spoke at once. Causing then to keep shut.

"Ladies first." Philip bowed.

"I was thinking maybe you would like a stroll to the garden since you're already familiar with the mansion. I will attend to something and be quick to come back to you." Saying this Vivian stood quickly. Bowing, she left the room.

Philip walked silently, taking a turn and arriving at the coriddor which led to the garden. The air was cool and as he turned to face forward and slowly approached the library he couldn't help but notice the small figure who stepped out of the library. He wasn't sure who it was but the person was engrosed in reading and didn't quite notice the pillar ahead.
